Yet another problem that we're solving with overbearing laws. If we had UBI, people would be empowered to just quit exploitative jobs and we wouldn't need this nannying from the state.

All the more proof that "hate speech" laws only apply to speech that whoever is in power thinks is hateful, not actual hate or bigotry. Don't give them that subjective power unless you want it used against the meek and powerless.

If something is up 33%, then there's a 90% chance it went from 3 to 4 and somebody is using percents to distract you from the low numbers.

I think it would be interesting to train an chatbot on the public posts of individual social media sites. That way, you could start up a chat with the average* Facebook user or the average* Twitter user or the average* Truth Social user and compare and contrast between them.

*I'm using the statistical, rather than colloquial, definition of "average" here

It's amazing how often telling "no, you're wrong" actually ends up producing the correct result on the second try.

It's almost like it's trained on people giving bad advice being warily corrected by more experienced people.

Ugh. When are stores in a multicultural society going to stop closing for the holidays of just one religion?

Whatever bean counter decided some video games need voice acting, but that only the first sentence of text blocks should be voiced, needs to be fired immediately.

So, I have this little robot guy about a foot or two tall, from when I was a kid, and it's sitting on the floor of my foyer.

One day, my dog, while chasing after a ball, bumped the robot, and when he turned around, it was rocking back and forth from his bump.

He was terrified, and now he thinks it's alive, and every time he goes anywhere near it, he slows down and gives it a side-eye. It's hilarious. 😆

My kindgom for an AI that can follow instructions to set up a server or virtual machine to run specific software.

A tech company hiring McKinsey tells you two things.

1. They are going to do layoffs.

2. Management is so incompetent that they need to hire someone to tell them to do layoffs
