"If a protest doesn’t ultimately yield greater support for its corresponding cause, it is not successful, and we are doing ourselves no favors when our protests for righteous causes center ego over outreach, clicks and views over results, and self over service."

I truly don't understand why Democrats aren't hammering that last point every single day.
Oh damn, I've been a huge proponent of S230, but this is suddenly making me reconsider, lol.
Probably blashpemous to Christians
I would really love to, some day, make an epic video game that draws from the cool parts of Catholic lore (think Dante's Inferno and celestial wars) and where the ultimate twist is (spoiler alert for a game that will probably never get made...) that the "Satan" of this world is the original God, cast down to Hell and driven insane when Lucifer led his successful rebellion and assumed the throne of God for himself.
people have been asking us for printed posters FOREVER but I've always been unsatisfied with just printing out the existing PDFs of our posters -- they didn't feel quite polished enough to me.
So I collaborated with the incredible Tanya at Inner Loop Press (check out their website! it's so good! https://www.innerloop.press/) to make this delightful risograph printed Debugging Manifesto poster.
they're not available just yet but they'll be on the store soon!
We've all done it, we told ourselves we are going to get into shape, eat better, exercise more, and then a week later, we're gassy, bloated, have diarrhea, pulled a muscle, and are just generally sore. We end up concluding that this just isn't for us, and there is something wrong with us.
Humans are often terrible at balance. We go from being couch potatoes eating processed food, to eating loads of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains, and then we're surprised when we feel awful, instead of great. Our bodies try to be efficient, and if you aren't using something, our bodies slow down production. We produce a bacteria that helps breakdown fiber, but if you aren't getting much fiber, your body isn't going to make much. It can take 2-4 weeks for your body to realize what your doing, and start producing enough bacteria. This is why many doctors and dieticians recommend getting more fiber in increments, increasing by 5 grams a week until you reach your goal. Also keep in mind that some people have conditions like gastroparesis, diabetes, and IBS, and it's very important to talk to a doctor before making major changes to your diet.
We do the same with exercise, going from very little to suddenly telling ourselves we are going to spend an hour in the gym every single day. Something people often overlook, is flexibility, and it's foundational. Instead of doing extreme workouts you aren't used to doing, start with a beginner's yoga routine first, and then just walk. Your body needs conditioning, and if you go straight into running, and an extensive weight lifting routine, you will hurt yourself. And as with changing your diet, a talk with your doctor about increasing your activity is a great idea too.
Honestly, I'm preaching to myself here, I'm not always good with balance. Humans can change their habits, but it is slow and incremental, and that's okay. We should be kind to ourselves, we don't need to be punished for not reaching some airbrushed goal. It's okay to have setbacks, you're still good enough, and worthy.
I haven't done a game jam since college, but I'm seriously considering entering this one.
