Newbie observation: I was a big fan of lists on That Other Site and I think they're just as useful (if not even more so) over here.

If you pick "advanced web interface" in the Mastodon settings, you can line up a bunch of lists and also add columns that follow hashtags (e.g., #LawProfs has been really useful to me). Pin the ones you want to read regularly.

Lists take a little bit of time to set up but they'll let you be sure you see what you want to see.

Folks, a reminder to fill out your profile *before* you start following folks, so those folks who know who you are, perchance to follow you in return.
