@itssynecdoche I would base this on cities rather than country. Edinburgh, London, Vienna, Prague all great public transport. Rural Scotland and remote parts of Whales not that well connected (some parts you'll find a bus come by once a day). Many cities in Germany have good connectivity. Austria is actually incredibly well connected, even throughout the Alps.

Surprisingly Dubai (for the size of the city and how ahead it is of most other places) doesn't have the most robust public transport network. One of the sites I wanted to visit (I don't remember which one exactly) I had to get off at the bust stop and walk for about 1 km to reach the place (in that wonderful Arabian Peninsula heat). I suppose everyone has cars there so public transport is less of a concern for most.

@mehluv I'll go with Tusky then. I think when moving from bird app to here the natural thing to do is to goto the app Store and download the official app. Takes a while to understand this space and how it actually works.

@sudipto woah, how do I find this on the official mastodon app?

@mehluv ah, that isn't available on the mastodon official app I suppose

@ravisambamurthy

1. That's interesting, I'll look into updating mine.

3. From what I have read on other comments, it depends on whether your instance has said feature. Mine doesn't.

@juergen_hubert ah, that explains it. Same with the edit button, people seem to be talking about the edit button I can't see it though. (Editing posted toots I mean).

@sanchayan

1. Thanks for clarifying that.

3. I'm on the official Mastodon app, I guess I'll have to wait.

@DopeGhoti I'm afraid I'm on the official Mastodon app, I guess I'll have to wait then 😔😏

@juergen_hubert ah! I suppose that's why I cannot follow hashtags.

Thanks for clarifying!

@skanman you most definitely will have difficulty finding Cheese naan too easily, but you should visit. And when you do, try the local street food! :)

I will never understand why people are so averse to diversity.

I like seeing trans people speaking to each other with idioms I don't get, cute girls speaking a language I can't recognize, or gay dudes priming and posing in random pics.

Seeing shit that is not for me makes me feel like I'm part of a much bigger world that still has space for me to learn and grow.

That's a big place of comfort for me. The bottomless nature of the human experience means we all have space to be fully who we are.

That's pretty cool.

I tried going into profile settings via web on my phone, it shows me a whole new set of options. I have a few questions wrt options and usage.

1. What is profile metadata supposed to be? It says Label and Content, where does this show up?

2. List account on directory (that I checked on recommendation) - where can this be seen? How do I access said directory if I'm looking for interesting accounts to follow?

3. I read somewhere that specific hashtags can be followed by clicking on the follow button that appears next to the hashtag upon searching. I tried this on both web and Android app and somehow cannot see any option to follow a hashtag (eg ), is there something I'm missing here?
