@olamundo
I'm convinced that the only time these billionaires will ever face consequences is if they either do something to another billionaire or commit a crime that's sexual in nature.

@n1nj4
I use DeviantArt, and recently they replaced their old interface with an interface called Eclipse, which uses over 2 GB of memory and causes CPU utilization to go to 100%. Bloatware needs to go. Unfortunately, I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon.

@tripu
Levels in a video game aren't scarce though. That's my point.

Some of my password cracking handiwork from last May. I wrote a program that performs a simple dictionary attack on a hash and tested it against a database of password hashes that I got from the HaveIBeenPwned site.

@trinsec
TIL: Europeans have fireworks on New Years Eve. (In the US we just get drunk and occasionally shoot loaded guns into the air.)

Looks like I have an ear infection. I'm taking some Sudafed to try to drain the fluid. Hopefully that will get rid of it. If it doesn't I'll have to see a doctor and get on an antibiotic.

@biomedmax
And I'm spending my New Year's Eve alone in my room. 😭

Flowchart for a program that calculates the K-Nearest-Neighbor algorithm.

@xavigo
Also, Google's essentially forcing people to work to improve their AI for free. That's slave labor.

@xavigo
I thought it was supposed to train their autonomous vehicles. Isn't that why they always show things related to traffic?

Inspired by a similar program from the Obfuscated C Code Contest. This program calculates its own area.

@freemo
Ah. You have what I think is the Russian flag next to your username, so I thought that was where you were from. Are you essentially a vagabond then?

@freemo
Are you in Eastern Europe? I know a lot of those areas have high populations of abandoned cats and dogs.

@freemo
I love cats. I pet the neighbors' cats any chance I get.

@tripu
Microtransactions are in-game purchases where you buy digital items. They're theoretically unlimited, but the company still charges money for them, not because of scarcity, but because they can.

@metalcrow
Indeed, bugs are inevitable. Yet, for some reason whenever I test code I just wrote, a part of me still expects it to run perfectly the first time. I'm weird like that.

@underlap
I really need to learn to use Git. The nice thing is you can interface directly with GitHub through it.

@underlap
A lot of good insights here. I definitely agree that being able to get unstuck once you've been stuck is one of the most important skills in coding. I've found it helps to develop a process for analyzing every inch of the code to figure out what's wrong with it.
