Teachers can shop at Lowe's, Kroger's, Macy's, Target, Dollar Store, Home Depot, Sam's club, Costco, and Meier's.
They can fill up their car with gas, haircuts, walks in the park, attend "peaceful protests", and have dinner with friends.
But not school."

One doesn't need to be a radical anarchist (I am not) to acknowledge these concerns:
“From the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been calls […] for […] governments to combat the spread of the virus. These calls may seem quite innocuous and unsurprising, but they represent a dangerous trend. […] Specifically, these calls for #government action highlight a concerning belief […] that, when faced with an economic, social, or political problem, we should first look to the government to ‘do something’ and that the government’s response will be in our best interest. These calls for action demonstrate not only […] acceptance of #paternalistic government practices, but our demand for more.”

Twitter suspends renowned doctor for making positive comments about #hydroxychloroquine
Dr. David Samadi, once named one of New York City's top doctors by New York Magazine, was suspended by Twitter for 24 hours due to positive comments he made about the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine as a treatment of #COVID-19.
This is really interesting. They colorized a photo by overlaying some lines in a grid and ONLY adding color to the lines but oversaturating the color. The rest of the image is black and white.
The result is that at a distance or in the thumbnail it just looks like an ordinary color photo. It is only when you look up close you notice what is going on.
- the CNN media newsletter mentioned "right-wing" or "far-right" media, personalities, or elements 172 times, while it mentioned "left-wing" or "far-left" just 8 times, a ratio of 21.5 to 1. https://freebeacon.com/media/cnns-reliable-sources-team-fixated-on-right-wing-media/ https://twitter.com/Cernovich/status/1287183849500184576

There is absolutely NOTHING obtuse about my position. It's as clear as day.1/ If you want to wear a mask, then wear a mask2/ This should not be mandated by the government nor enforced by police 3/ Harassing strangers for not wearing or not wearing one is uncalled for.Done Tek: @ZubyMusic I like you mate and you talk a lot of sense on here. Which makes it all the more surprising you're so obtuse on this subject. https://twitter.com/ZubyMusic/status/1286611472504807425 #Zuby

John MacArthur's Grace Community #Church announces it will not obey California's ban on indoor worship services
Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, #California, said it would continue holding services, saying government mandates restricting worship are overstepping and it has no duty to follow them.

Nextdoor, at I understand it, is social media for all the neighbors you hope you never have to interact with.
China is using Uighur slave labor to produce medical masks
Days after drone video footage showed hundreds of blindfolded Uighur Muslim prisoners with shaved heads being led by Chinese military officers onto trains, a New York Times video investigation has revealed China is using Uighur slave labor to produce medical masks.

Was informed by a staff member of a #church in southwest #Denver metro that #colorado churches are being shut down by the government after their services were unknowingly monitored by government visitors who say they aren't following #COVID-19 restrictions closely enough so must shutter their doors.
China Orders Christians to Take Down Images of Jesus from Their Homes
"This year, China’s “social credit system” was scheduled to become fully functional"
"The officials threatened the Christians that non-compliance with the order would result in suspension of their welfare subsidies."
KGB style. Turning people into spies. You can't trust anyone:
"The fears are tied to “cash rewards for those who inform on underground churches and other ‘unofficial’ places of worship"

Incredible!At his first campaign event, @KanyeWest shares that when @KimKardashian got pregnant with their first child, North, he wanted an abortion at first. Says Kanye: “She brought North into the world, even when I didn’t want to. She stood up and protected that child”! https://twitter.com/LilaGraceRose/status/1284997656440258560

Kanye West thinks we shouldn't kill babies, so the Left calls him insane. They want to concern-troll him (and all the rest of us) into a mental institution. He must be crazy. Leftist "science" says babies aren't babies, and only lunatic would deny science. https://twitter.com/michaeljknowles/status/1285044467175575552 #Science

I loved the sound of that modem...even more when there wasn't a busy signal. :)
@Korsier @realcaseyrollins
I try to do it in a way that let's me get sleep now...but still haven't mastered that.
@Korsier
Yes, I still find jumping in is a great way to learn new skills.
@realcaseyrollins
@Korsier
I started with front end web then PHP my freshman year from my dorm room...not a CS degree, but a Bible focused degree at a fairly small but somewhat well known Christian college. Still no degree in programming or CS, but I now lead a team of software developers and have been doing this full time professionally for a lot of years now.
For me to get past front end, it just took an unwise commitment, before there were platforms to do this, to build an ecommerce website for a record label...in 2 weeks, not having ever done back end development before. Found an open source PHP starting point, and delivered a findings) functional ecommerce website in 2 weeks....got no sleep, but learned PHP. :)

I'm interested in being just not civil, but excellent in interacting with others of different viewpoints in an online world where we can so viciously defend our echo chambers and be so dismissive of other perspectives.
Because this is less and less possible here, I'm largely offline and am not sure if I'll be returning. It was fun back when civility was a trend on qoto.
