Non so se sia possibile nella versione di masto.host utilizzata da mastodon.uno, ma credo si possa aumentare la dimensione massima dei toot, in quanto il protocollo #ActivityPub che permette al #fediverse di comunicare non stabilisce un limite massimo.

Molte istanze (come quella che sto utilizzando) permettono post più estesi, riducendo nettamente la necessità di flood, tipicamente usati per condividere pensieri più articolati.

Pensieri più articolati che, per molti su #mastodon, costituiscono uno dei valori aggiunti forniti da questo canale di comunicazione.

Hi @freemo it's Friday and, as you requested, I remind you that #QOTO lacks a #Privacy policy.

Please, do not under-estimate the issue as many QOTO's users are European citizens and, as far as I can see here https://dns-lookup.com/qoto.org several services from the US are connected (DNS from Amazon, and mail from Google) while using QOTO.

Data storage, as far as I can see https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=ptr%3a51.178.91.220&run=toolpage is still in OVH, but I'd guess that you need an explicit consent for these stuff anyway.

Not something one should brag about online: every bit of information you spread about yourself ease the work of any future attacker.

A better question would be: "what kind of password manager you recommend?"

To that question we can answer without revealing so much about us (except maybe good technical skills).

As for the matter I suggest you to keep the 2-3 most important passwords/private keys in your mind AND printed in a safe (just in case you forgot them or you die and your family need to gain access to the protected data).

As a second choice (or for the second most important keys), you could get a dedicated device to always keep off-line, with an off-line password manager.
And by "keep off-line" I mean that it shouldn't even have an ethernet, a SIM or a wifi ever enabled.

Finally for less critical passwords and keys you could use an off-line password manager on a less trustworthy hardware, such as your personal laptop or your personal smartphone.

NEVER use your work laptop or smartphone and NEVER EVER use an ONLINE password manager, not even on a hardware you control as your attack surface and threat would explode.

Ma figurati, non è mica la domanda il problema: non esistono domande sbagliate per un hacker.

Ed anche l'ignoranza in materia è una condizione normale, il punto di partenza di ogni nuova scoperta e condizione per la curiosità.

Ed infatti ho risposto nel merito spiegando la mia scelta (ed i problemi di OVH in merito alla porta 443).

Ma credo non sfugga neanche a te il tentativo, seppur ridicolo e maldestro, di screditare le mie competenze.

Gli è andata male (peraltro, per l'ennesima volta) ma non dubito che ci riproverà in futuro.

E ti dirò... finanto che ho la possibilità di rispondergli nel merito, non mi disturba nemmeno.
E può essere utile, che al di la delle sue intenzioni, ne è nata una spiegazione utile agli altri.
