We are discussing the behavior- as shown in THIS thread- where users are being ignored when they request disengagement.

Any harm caused by Freemo, I assure you, was not intention. He is a person who can admit when he is wrong.

You are trying to make this an argument about something other than a moderation issue that is specifically mentioned in Spinster rules.

It isn't.

This isn't about intersex people. This isn't about who was right and who was wrong in that conversation.

It is about an issue where someone requested disengagement and they were not removed from the thread.

That's it.

Trying to make it anything more is neither fair nor appropriate.

Future Moderation issues will not be dealt with in public forums with Spinster. It is clear that some Spinster users are unable to disconnect moderation actions from something else.

That, my dear lady, is an outright attack, it isn't fair, and none of it is true. I fully support your rights and ability to say what you want to say. I have had a lot of very good interactions with people on Spinster that, I feel, should at least show *ME* as a good faith actor. Attacking me directly is a low fucking blow, and it shows that you have *ZERO* desire to come to an understanding. You'd rather fight.

And let me say : your opinion of yourself is quite fucking high if you think you're going to 'Save the Fediverse'.

You can't call the internet a safe space. You can't call social media a safe space- These are arguments I see made BY PEOPLE ON YOUR INSTANCE EVERY DAY.

You can't eat your cake and have it to.

I was trying to de-escalate this, but you keep pushing. You keep attacking.

Do you see the problem? Do you see what *you* are doing or are you so gun-ho to protect the other women in Spinster that you outright ignore your own issues?

Let's put it down to a single question- Yes or No.

Allow me to be perfectly clear: I don't give a single fuck if Freemo was right or wrong. He and I disagree on things all the time.

If Freemo with correct information or incorrect information requested to disengage and a spinster user continued to contact them that is a form of harassment.

Spinster is part of a larger community of federated instances. There are social conventions in place so we can all enjoy communicating with one another. It is a platform with the potential to teach and to learn. QOTO is specifically about learning and questioning.

At the end of the day though: No means no and stop means stop. Period.

If this were turned around and it were a QOTO member who'd continued messaging someone who requested disengagement they would be warned and properly sanctioned.

I understand that many of the women of spinster have been mistreated and abused on other platforms. They have been harassed online and in real life. I empathize completely with the desire to defend yourself and others from what might appear to be an attack on a fellow user, particularly considering the truly shitty way all of you have been treated.

That does not, however, excuse ignoring a request for disengagement.

To come to an understanding regarding why Freemo blocked a spinster user.

I am going to look at the original thread and give an opinion on the incident itself.

I was hoping it could be talked out and consensus reached, but it seems there are some strong opinions on both sides.
