How is everyone today? Got to work three hours early today to get some stuff done. Glad to say I got it done. and things are looking well caught up and in order! :D

Like, honestly, that stuff really, really fucks me up. Teaching kids to hate and crave murder. It's disgusting. The kind of cynicism that is culturally destructive in the worst kind of way.

How can there be peace when those core beliefs are set in stone so young?

It has everything to do with Palestinian education. The textbooks make killing Jews a big thing. And that is Jews and not Israelis. :/

So, some 8 year old kid tried to kill a soldier in the West Bank today. Totally a WTF moment.

I'm thing it's only a matter of time before things boil-over in Gaza. Super fucked up what's happening right now.

Violent riots every night at the border. People getting shot. Explosives and firebombs being dropped by balloons into Israel. Explosives being thrown at soldiers.

It's Ugly. Super Ugly. That's the nature of "The Situation" as it is called. It's also depressing.

Something is going to give. Things are worse in Gaza than they have been for a while, and people are suffering on both sides because of this whole mess. Hamas harms the people of Gaza and although I do not believe there is malice behind it, Israel is also harming the people of Gaza.

A lack of malice in harm is certainly nice, but it doesn't matter to the people being harmed. Israel has a right to be where it is, I believe that. I am a zionist- but a lot of the recent moves from the US and the current government with Bibi at the helm leave a really bitter taste in my mouth.

Hopefully good will come from it.

HOWEVER. It is a truly lovely day today. As I said, we've left the worst of the summer heat behind and now things are just fantastic. Comfortable. It's 28c/81f/301k outside right now.
