Yesterday, the enemy heavily shelled Dvorichna village of Kupiansk district with tanks and self-propelled artillery systems, resulting in damage to the Kupyansk transport infrastructure facility and a fire breaking out. Additionally, a Russian munition, believed to be an anti-tank guided missile, struck a civilian car near Budarky village, Chuhuiv district, killing a married couple, a 48-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman.

Yesterday evening, two explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Melitopol region, reportedly destroying two military bases belonging to the occupiers. The mayor of the city has stated that they are awaiting confirmation from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Last night, the enemy attempted to launch an aerial attack on the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. Our air defense forces were able to successfully intercept and destroy all of the incoming munitions, which were identified as Shahed barrage munitions. Thankfully, there were no reported casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure. The enemy was not able to achieve their goals. However, we must remain vigilant and continue to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to bring peace to our country after our victory! - Serhiy Popko, Head of the KMVA.

Today, Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Budanov stated that the Russians are refusing to go on the offensive due to the losses they have suffered. He noted that the Russians are trying to conceal the extent of their losses, but the occupying forces are aware of the scale of their losses and are refusing to launch an offensive. He also mentioned that the Russian economy and production are not able to cover the losses they have incurred, and if they do not achieve their goals in the spring, they will run out of resources to wage war. Budanov believes that the Ukrainian military can launch a successful counteroffensive in late spring or early summer, with the help of allies, and that this could lead to a decisive result on the battlefield. General Richard Dannatta, the former Chief of the British General Staff, also shared his opinion, stating that if Ukraine launches a successful counteroffensive and the Russian army collapses, dictator Putin may be expelled from the Kremlin. He believes that the West has not done enough to ensure that the war ends this year, and that Russian generals who are dissatisfied with the development of the war may drive Putin out of the Kremlin.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian aviation conducted 10 airstrikes on areas where the enemy personnel and military equipment were concentrated over the past day, and missile and artillery units also targeted two enemy control points.

I don't think they are at all worried about tornadoes. They are worried about missiles fired by the Russians.

My father is 95. He dropped out of school to go fight Hitler. He joined the merchant marine. Funny how that worked out. Here in his golden years he has been finally getting recognition. First from Norway and then last year Congress gave the Congressional Gold Medal to all surviving members of the Merchant Marine after ignoring them for 80 years.
Norway had an excuse. They wanted to give him some medals after the war but the U.S. government said they didn't know where he was. Even though he paid income tax every year. But when he moved to Canada, Norway was alerted.
