Hi! I'm Daf. I'm 14, autistic, pansexual and a MASSIVE nerd. This looks fun!

mainly just a animal and paleontology beard specialising in elephants, ungulates sauropods but love a fair bit of shitposting and memes so nothing out of the ordinary

I'm hovering at 1.9K followers and the suspense is killing me! Sooooo close to leveling up :)

Anyone from the or around wanna be my new friend? :)

Concerned about and land expropriation - guess people don't learn from history (as those in Zimbabwe are saying). Found a very informative primer on how SA organizes itself - along with its recent history. Fascinating country - hope it doesn't implode upon itself welections.wordpress.com/guide

Hi Dr. @freemo thanks for the warm welcome! This instance looks like a great place to start my Mastodon journey from. A little about myself. I'm a software developer and business owner based in Pretoria, South Africa. I started a company, Robot Dwarf with a friend of mine 8 years ago and its been the most incredible experience with plenty of ups and downs as businesses always are. I studied Multimedia at the University of Pretoria and really fell in love with programming and programming languages and how it comes down to syntax and semantics. Also love Interaction design and UX and the research that has gone into that. When I'm not programming or writing long intros without paragraphs, I watch movies, hang out with friends & family, play keyboard and guitar, watch my wife game and occasionally eat and sleep as well. I have interests in history, and the future, land, sea and space. Its great to be here and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. Whew, I thinks that's it for now!

Really interesting to see how much signifcance Campbell assigns to dream analysis in the hero with a thousand faces (because of Jung, Freud) before contemporary psychologicists said it was basically all meaningless.

Wonder what his take would be on it now.

@spinflip A warm welcome! I did quite some chemistry exams in my career, and I'm very happy to have more scientists aboard from different fields to learn from.

Seems like qoto is going in the right direction.

@Blackmonk Very complicated question. A good start is not to go into depression, don't feel too bad about the environmental problems we are facing, and get your hands on some actual action.

The action in itself depends highly on your background skills and knowledge, there is no universal answer here.

In this time we live, the need to demystify leadership and peace, drives me to see good in all. That I care so much about my Sons is enough to make me know that with a little effort, I can do same to ANYONE. The idea of appropriating godlike status to men, thereby creating mysteries around things that should be simple, has to stop.

I welcome us all to another week of seeing our possibilities together as one people.

@commandelicious @freemo I see qoto is picking up quite a number of new users. Wish my instance got some :-)

If Pete Davidson is reading this I just want him to know he looks like a bat
