This is a fantastic idea. I am planning to put up slide decks of my talks here, (well actually on pixelfed, but it's all the same). One other thing, when you link your #mastodon profile make sure you put the `@` sign before your handle, so in the poster it should be @Britt ... and so on.

I may not have understood your use case, so please bear with me, 🙂 just trying to help.

I do not use #writefreely that much, so cannot say. But it seems you can push #rss directly from your blog to here and people can read them alright, by creating a bot account and connecting your RSS feeds to the bot account.

বাংলা ভাষায় দিব্য ম্যাসটোডন করা যায় |
যাঁরা সদ্য টুইটার থেকে এসেছেন, স্বাগতম।
কতগুলো কাজ সেরে ফেলুন চটপট।
১) নিজের Profile লিখে ফেলুন, বিশেষ করে কি করেন, কিসে উৎসাহ, ইত্যাদি। এতে করে যারা আপনাকে ফলো করতে চায়, সহজ হবে
২) যতজন কে পারবেন ফলো করুন, এখানে ফলো করার কোন বিধিনিষেধ নেই
৩) প্রতিটি পোস্টের তলায় 'তারা' চিহ্ন দেওয়া, পোস্ট ভাল লাগলে জানিয়ে দিন | এতে করে আপনার ফলোয়াররা কিছু জানতে পারবে না বটে, কিন্তু পোস্ট ভাল লাগার আদি অকৃত্রিম ব্যাপারটা থাকে, যিনি পোস্ট করেছেন তিনি জানতে পারবেন।
৪) এখানে পোস্ট করাকে টুট বলে, আপনি কারো পোস্ট ভাল লাগলে রিটুট করুন,
৫) যদি মনে হয় তার সঙ্গে নিজের কথা জুড়ে দেবেন (quote tweet টাইপের ব্যাপার), এখানে হবে না, তবে টুটের উত্তর দিলে আপনার ফলোয়ারদের কাছে পৌঁছে যাবে
৬) এটা যেহেতু ফেডিভারসের অংশ, আপনি সব কিছু একসঙ্গে দেখতে পাবেন, ক্রমশ প্রকাশ্য
৭) প্রচুর হ্যাশট্যাগ দিন, তাতে করে আপনার লেখা নানান জায়গায় ছড়িয়ে যাবে
৮) আপনি ৫০০ ক্যারেকটার লিমিট পাবেন (কোথাও কোথাও ৬৫ হাজার অবধি পাওয়া যায়)
ছবি আপলোড করুন, সকলকে বলুন, ম্যাসটোডন তো বটেই, আরো অনেক এরকম অ্যাপ রয়েছে।

#mastodon is one app within the #fediverse ecosystem, and various apps can be used for different purposes. I maintain a small group within the @papers_blogs where I post journal articles.

That's fantastic Maria. Our understanding is limited as well, and we just got started. It is an exciting area of work and we are studying what happens to people when they are opened up to states such as meditation or take a walk in a beautiful setting. #neuroscience

Also, not all #markdown features seem to work, eg, code blocks do not work on the textboxes. This is OK, but if they did, this would stand out. I really like the idea of qoto.org.
Given the character count and the richness of connected apps, it'd be nice to give it a shot if a long form article can be posted here and then we get responses from the community. Kind of preprint posted directly on #mastodon
