@Pat
I cant view the videos here in egypt so i cant comment on if the context ia acceptable.

I can say that in any direct communication with you id avoid the use of the word in any context simply as a sign of respect i can not promise to do so in a general or public context. I feel saying "the n-word" rather than the actual word is an unhealthy approach to the problem. Respect comes from intent, not the mere utterance of a word. Not only do i find it acceptable to use the word in a context such as that, i find it preferable.

I think we need to fight against a society where we attack people without awareness of the context and using the word in a descriptive way is perfectly fine and outside of conversations directly between us i will have no problem using ot descriptively as i have in the past.

@shitgrifter @Shadowman311 These regimes don't see people as humans, just as cattle and slaves; they're fundamentally evil, and will resort to any petty bullshit they can to harm those that defy them. Just look at Canada for example, it's not enough to freeze bank accounts, arrest people, and smear them as terrorists; they'll also kill their dogs, just because they can. It's all about flexing power and making people suffer.
Watamelons are known by zoologists to not only be excellent singers, dancers and thieves, but also skilled carpenters capable of erecting wooden structures to suit their needs. These structures can vary from log cabins that provide shelter and insulation against bad weather, to gazebos and stages that enhance their performances. Researchers have yet to conclusively determine just how said performances contribute to the survival of wild watamelons, but universally agree them to be of good aesthetic quality.
We went from two weeks to flatten the curve to do as we tell you to or get locked out of your own bank account.

@thj@mastodon.social i guess i kind of get why norwegians trust their government and public institutions: you have a climate where things like nrkbeta.no/bittorrent/ and yr.no with it's free apis are done. giving away such things at this high quality is still largely unheard of here in germany. it's really a different culture.

@Hibou @verretor soon: "they killed their own kids, there was nothing we could do"
Young healthy people getting vaccinated is a POLITICAL ACT far more than it is a medical one. Every time someone gets vaccinated, or even boosted, they are voting for mandates. Politicians all over the world use vaccination uptake data as justification for mandates. "Look mandates work, more people got vaccinated". I specifically saw the Canadian government cite low uptake of boosters as the reason they didn't mandate it.

If it wasn't for the situation, I wouldn't ever discourage someone from getting vaccinated, since it is their own private decision. But because it is a political act more than a medical one, I do discourage it. If you get vaccinated without specific comorbidity, you are voting against civil rights.

Vaxxtards like to talk about "manning up", implying people are scared of needles or something. I could just as easily say "man up" in the face of catching COVID for the sake of the greater good.
