I teach and do research at #McMaster University's School of Earth, Environment and Society. My areas of interest are #transportation, #accessibility, #ActiveTravel, #equity, and #policy. I have a strong interest in methods, and my longest love affair has been with #SpatialStatistics and #SpatialDataAnalysis.

I am interested in #writing, and use #Rstats with gusto, professionally and for #Rtistry and #GenerativeArt.

Solace is a new homesteading effort being taken on by a married couple on just over 5 acres in Southern Quebec, Canada.

In April of 2022 it was just forest and a creek. Now it is forest, a creek, and a tiny house!

Follow us for pictures, stories, and the experiences of starting from raw forest and building towards a semi-modern lifestyle while working in concert with the nature around us.

I remember Twitter being very white prior to about 2014, but Ferguson changed everything because some Black voices got elevated and diversity began growing around then — or perhaps white folks like me realized it was important to start diversifying our feeds and hearing more voices from across the human spectrum.

It starts with initiatives like #BlackFriday. I applaud those who are working hard to foster that community on here and look forward to the same with Asian & Indigenous voices.
