If you are annoyed by people who boost too much (like me 😁 ), you need not mute them! Just go to their profile and choose behind the 3 dots "hide boosts from @xy". This is also the easiest way to get only original posts by a followee.

(Said environments often involving AI and LLMs, argh.)
omg yes.
There are multiple environments where I think I come off as (what?) abrasive, because when someone says something with a confidence that I can't imagine them actually having evidence enough to justify, I tend to (gently, often) wonder just how they know that. Such a jerk I am lol.
Sister Rust, I need you now.
Cause I've got a feeling.
It's you and me again, waiting for the credits to end.
Now and forever.
With something in our hearts, that if we were to stop, would pull us away.
There's nothing we can do, to stop feeling this blue.
Anyway.
Very much reminds me of "My name is Alice... and I remember everything."
Which was apparently Milla Jovovich.
"Scary actresses becoming dangerously post-human" for 400, Alex.
"Professor Norman, my name is Lucy I just read all of your research on the human brain we need to meet."
She does seem to randomly kill a few perhaps-innocent people near the beginning. I suppose we're supposed to assume she super-knew that they were bad guys...
There is a level of nuance to piracy, especially book piracy and why it is unfortunately necessary in some places. But it must be noted that if you have the means to do so… please support your favorite authors in whatever way you can. That especially applies to using your library and requesting books for purchase if you have a functional library system. Use it or you’ll lose it.
I don't know why I like #Lucy (2014) so much. The science ("We use only a small fraction of our brains") is utter twaddle. I didn't realize that was Scarlett Johansson; she's good! But the basic "ordinary person gets super powers, fights bad guys, transcends time and space" is somehow very appealing. I could watch several (interestingly different) takes on this!
I saw white Southerners pretending to move "with all deliberate speed to integrate" institutions, while refusing to move an inch.
And since that time, I've seen over and over the ravages that systemic racism and racial injustice inflict on US society, because our society as a whole has refused to move towards racial justice. Those ravages are on glaring display in the Trump era.
The problem is not moving quickly. It's the refusal to move at all.
A consciousness somehow associated with matter.
Posting about culture, philosophy, politics, AI Art Tools, NaNoWriMo, Software Development occasionally, the relationship of consciousness to matter.

Google employee, but I do not speak for Google in any way.
If your profile tells me nothing about you, it's less likely I'll follow you (back).
