@Sphinx time to learn new skills if you're well enough!
@Sphinx that implies you have a great view from your room! Lucky!
@Sphinx that implies you're out of bed...
.
@oskay that would be a good thing!
@FailForward @geekmomprojects cute dog but I wouldn't classify him/ her as small
@FailForward @geekmomprojects small dogs are the best
@andypiper Aside from obvious Doctor Who jokes what's the point of this policebox if the phone doesn't work?
@users really sorry it put such stress on servers but I'm sure I speak for most newcomers. We are thankful that we were welcomed.
@trinsec oh my apologies. I missed the "select text" suggestion. That would work, even though it would be time consuming. It's probably a question of time before we get an open source translator. Just need to be patient...
@trinsec I mostly use mobile apps to read the instances I'm on so I don't get the translate option. Also it's only a toot here and there that would require it, not the whole page. I'll have to check if Firefox has it but I don't think so.
@freeschool I see the point about avoiding Google. It makes sense. And I don't want a duplication of 🐦 . Mastodon/Fediverse stands on its own very well thank you! TBH the translation is the only thing I miss from 🐦 as it makes the world harder to reach.
@geekmomprojects @scottsrobots yes I have 3 accounts in fact and I post from both. One is more software oriented and this one here is more maker oriented. On fosstodon English is mandatory so anything French goes to mastodon.social
the app makes switching very easy.
@geekmomprojects @scottsrobots I'm not sure I understand either but I split my time between qoto and fosstodon for that very reason.
@Sphinx that bad, eh? Hopefully that will be the worst of it
@Sphinx How are you feeling today?
@jrh I had the same reaction... However since I'm new to the Fediverse, it's actually useful (to me) to have a #followfriday as inspiration. #thankful
@ancientjames funny and appropriate misread :)
@peterdroberts But those bunnies are adorable! 😻
@ancientjames nice little pi0 in there. Do you use a hat to control all those servos?
