@agterrane There was a learning curve for me but I definitely like it after a week. Searching for #fediTips is a good way to find how tos in terms of the technical side and social aspects.
I hope it grows on you like it did on me!
@tw I heard about it today when I caught part of the interview today on NPR weekend edition. I can’t believe he has been making music for over 40 years too. What a legend.
I’m going to have to watch it!
@tootsweet I missed that one. Yahoo messenger had the best games though back in the day!
@mssunshine no but i have a plan to on Tuesday!
I'm new here and looking to follow some cool game development folks. I myself am making a retro fps called Hellscreen but I also do little game experiments including lots of blender stuff, all of which I like to share.
If you like what you see above, follow, and if you really like what you see, wishlist on Hellscreen!
What else can you expect on my feed? #Music especially #BlackMusic & #IndigenousMusic. #Books of all sorts, but especially #SmallPress & #IndiePress publications by #BIPOC writers. I’m a fan of #Zines & #Magazines. #Weather including #ExtremeWeather #Calgary #Chinooks #HailStorms #Thunderstorms & occasional #funnel. Some #abpoli #cdnpoli politics. I’m a #writing #instructor so will post #events & #workshops (maintained alongside publications in linktree). And I like to frig around, so jokes ❤️
Some advise for new peeps on Mastodon:
The people you're following would generally *love* to follow you back IF you:
* Post an #Introduction toot and pin it
* Fill out your profile's bio
* Put in a profile picture
Whenever I get a follow request and there's no profile pic, no bio, no intro, and no toots posted yet in general, I don't follow back, because I don't know anything about that person. It's like being introduced to a person wearing a bag over their head. ;)
#Boost please :D

@theLobdegg@dosgame.club @MichaelKlamerus Yeah, I really hope Fetterman wins. I do have a plan to vote but I can’t wait until it’s over.
I made a chiptune music visualizer world for #VRChat where all of the effects are driven by the raw data written to the sound chips. Some of you have seen my dev logs about this... It is finally released today with full PCVR, desktop, and Quest compatibility.

Python 3.11 introduces new features that make it possible to raise and handle multiple unrelated exceptions. My talk at PyConUK explains how these new features work and goes over some of the design decisions we made.
"Ask a programming question on the Web" is sometimes as difficult as doing the actual programming. Reducing a problem in complex real-world systems to an clean, minimal, answerable, reproducible example can take serious efforts.
Boss: "What have you done today?"
Programmer: "I asked a programming question online."
@fencer_dan Hello!
@qlp that’s true, I was just thinking in terms of search engines and looking online. It is nice to be able to own either the digital or physical version though if you do have to pay for it!
@qlp that is really cool. Everything is online these days so I didn’t buy them but it’s nice to see the history and that most of the commands would still work today.
Just broke into software development. Currently struggling to grasp C!
