¿No te gusta GATOS o todas esas fotos de gatos que algunos de nosotros seguimos enyesando por todo el ?

No temas, ya que Mastodon ha incorporado FILTROS -- y todo lo que se necesita es configurar uno o más para deshacerse de los molestos postes.

Como moderador local, me siento obligado a explicar y compartir esto con usted - por lo que puede ocultar todas estas fotos molestas que me gusta especialmente, al igual que muchos otros, pero tal vez no todo el mundo.

Entonces, ¿qué hacer?

1. Haga clic en el icono de Engranaje para visitar el área "Preferencias" de Mastodon.

2. Navegue hacia abajo hasta el elemento de menú "Filtros" (véase en la captura de pantalla, en el lado izquierdo).

3. Y aquí puedes configurar *CUALQUIER filtro que te guste*, basado en un fragmento de texto para buscar en publicaciones fediversas.

Para ocultar todas las fotos maníacas de gatos, sugiero usar algo similar a las etiquetas hash que utilizo normalmente:

Ingresa eso, o cualquier otra expresión para buscar en la línea adecuada, mira la captura de pantalla #1.

4. Pulse el botón Guardar y el filtro se guardará y estará en vigor a partir de ahora. Vea la captura de pantalla #2.

Tienes las opciones de "Eliminar" o "Editar" el filtro más tarde, si cambias de opinión, o si el póster cambia su rutina de publicación ofensiva.

** GRAN manera de deshacerse de las publicaciones de Twitter sin sentido que algunas personas odian - recomendé que en otro caso que tenía algunos casos realmente MALOS como ese, y obtuve muchas gracias de los usuarios aliviados. 😜

Don't like CATS or all those cat photos that some of us keep plastering all over the ?

Fear not, as Mastodon has built in FILTERS -- and all it takes is to configure one or more to get rid of pesky posts.

As a local moderator, I feel compelled to explain and share this with you - so you can hide all these pesky photos which I am particularly fond of, as are many, but maybe not everyone.

So, what to Do?

1. Click on the Gear icon, to visit the "Preferences" area of Mastodon.

2. Navigate down to the "Filters" menu item (see it on screenshot, on the left side).

3. And here you can configure *ANY filters you like*, based on a piece of Text to search for in fediverse posts.

To hide all the Cat maniac photos, I would suggest using something similar to the hash tags I normally use:

Enter that, or any other expression to search for in the proper line, see screenshot #1.

4. Hit the Save button and the filter will be saved and in effect from now on. See screenshot #2.

You have the options of "Delete" or "Edit" the filter later, if you change your mind, or if the poster changes their offending post routine.

** GREAT way to get rid of mindless Twitter reposts which some people hate -- I recommended that at another instance that had some Really BAD cases like that, and got many thanks from relieved users. 😜
