Hello Ben and welcome!
> innovative fiction @MicroSFF
That is interesting. I have met and participated in some great story telling sessions here in the Fediverse, I was wondered by this new medium -- but you have to be fortunate to see the story as it is being posted, one toot at a time.
@anarchiv impressed me with that -- This sequence, which I caught as he typed them : https://todon.nl/@anarchiv/103260707759534544
Inspired, I went on to writing my firsr similar, sequential toot short story that same morning. https://qoto.org/@design_RG/103261667157165272
Later developed into a full content, one of my favourite Blog pages : https://write.tedomum.net/rgx/memories-a-visit-to-the-archeology-museum
I was fascinated by a new form of presentation -- but it's really best experienced as a fireside chat, you have to be lucky to be around when the story starts, and to see it flash by.
Caught a similar episode by another Todon user, and that made me want an account at that instance -- creative people I wanted to be close to.
@banna I heard it has a lot of antioxidants. And is recommended.
@zleap
It might happen -- I edited all of my pages with a new Footer last night and got a zillion notifications, ouch. Hope followers didn't get that same spam
BTw -- might be a good idea to include a mention to Fedi Following in your footer.
Unfortunately I haven't found a way to do that with a link -- it will open the blog page to read instead, if I use the @ name there.
@arteteco I will try and open the Folder link as a Guest, in a new Private Window. Hold on.
Confirmed -- Guest only option is Download.
Thank you -- Forums really shine in organizing and presenting information. I am trying to think how I could possibly do something similar in Mastodon, but even the advanced versions can't put images in-line, in the middle of the text like in the forum.
So I will figure the best I can, and link the forum as well.
Using a Glitch social instance at least I could include all of the user links (@ name and profile home in instance) without it looking messy.

@arteteco I see - -a guest would not be able to access a Sharing function.
If they have the link and could open the whole folder, the best they could do is say "open this folder, and get this particular file".
Or -- copy the file and share it on their own, in any services, if they want to only show that one.
@arteteco Go up to the Folder level then -- and use the Share icon, will open a dialogue. See screenshot.
@arteteco That little icon beside the file in the dir listing opens the share menu.
Guest visitors can't do it though.
@arteteco I would imagine a right click on the specific document should produce a Share dialogue -- and go from there? It's how it works in other similar programmes.
Here's my Discourse Forum topic -- it's nice that I can organize and include a profile snapshot of each account there. https://discourse.qoto.org/t/cat-posting-accounts-for-fff-felines-follow-on-fridays/286

Thanks Casey -- a wonderful find! I was just preparing a list last night, for the next time I put out a FF Cats Lovers post.
AK looks great, following -- thanks AK. @georgia@dickkickextremist.xyz do you know this account ?
@ak_ephemera
@globcoco Bonne idée! Haven't had breakfast yet. Talk later!
@globcoco
It is good and bad, at the same time, it's part of living in a society with such abundance of inputs and info that we need to find ways to keep focus, or to cut off and work offline sometimes if that helps.
I like to have some clipboards around, and jot down ideas on paper, little notes.
And when I am too agitated, finding a good book is really good, takes our minds away and into a quieter inner world; then we can appreciate and enjoy a good book better.
Managing our attention and time is important, and many people get distracted and absorbed by unimportant, commercialized networks, etc.
There are a lot of positives, but we have to work and try to find our paths and what is good and what to ignore, stay away from.
I will give you an article here for reference -- read it when you have a chance. I keep referring to it. 😃
Pass it on to someone when you talk about those ideas above.

By the way, it's wonderful to be chatting with you. 😉
@LittleWytch I would say they are long repressed reaction to inequalities and injustices. US is a very polarized and troubled society.
@zleap did you subscribe / follow your account, Paul?
that would be this link -- @paulsutton/
287 toots there, so all the activity is on the account. Once Following, you get notifications of new posts. All subscribers do.
I think the links would be a good start, I love books and have lots of them, but haven't been reading much of them since I am so active online.
It also changes our attention span, it becomes harder to tune out and lay down for hours ti enjoy a book, unfortunately. But it's one of life's pleasures, and I am quite happy when I get into one and it takes me away from some stressful moment, there's so many sad news lately.
@globcoco
Thank you. I find that participating in the Fediverse, and even linking it with other networks is a great way to expand our minds, do creative work, there's interesting people and many ideas and resources to be found.
And here's something for the writer in you -- we can use more instance accounts to try and help spread our blogs. When I create a new post, when finished in Write.freely, I will prepare a Promo text file for that one.
and post that in my main account. Then jump into Pinafore and quickly switch to other instances I already have configured.
As I load each, I will do a search for that release post (I copied it's URL). Once it is found, I click Favourite, and Boost. Then switch to another account and do the same.
I believe that helps spread the post more, and it's nice for bloggers and active people, to support a post you are interested in. Very easy with Pinafore, mine has about 11 instances configured; most of them I use lightly, as we cant really be present and active in more than 2 or 3 at a time.
With Pinafore I think you will find it easier to keep your existing account, while looking around and testing some other instances. and there's no harm done if you create an account and don't use it much later. It can be left dormant, or deleted if it's really not a proper fit for you.
@globcoco
Thank you, I have heard about Permaculture but don;t know much yet, maybe it's time to start reading. 😺
I took off Ange's tag since she might not be interested in our chat. She's a nice lady and admin at TeDomum.
@globcoco
Thank you, Coralie. I was a great teacher, and retiring from active work does not stop the love of doing it. 😄
Appreciate your comment, quite gentle, thank you.
