@jgoerzen I'm going to have to purchase one of these, the curiosity is overwhelming 😁
#cycling home from work in the pitch black at 5pm. If I get knocked over with 5 separate lights and an entire outfit of high viz clothing, i'll be really miffed.
@worldsendless Oh there's an import feature! :O
You're the best!
I'll play around with it when I'm back from work, about to leave for a rather chilly dark cycle home from work 😱
@worldsendless I made an account! I've just added the books I've read this week so far, I had to import one of them from another bookwyrm instance which was interesting.
But it seems to run (slowly atm agreed), and I'm happy to swap from Goodreads :)
(Thanks for the response btw)
systemd romance novel?
@jgoerzen I am in tears... I can't believe this is real 😭
systemd romance novel?
I did a search for "Unix history" on kobo.com, and it turned up a book in the *romance* section of all places... called "Saved by Systemd: An Erotic Unix Encounter."
I... uh... what? uhm...
I believe the correct action is to run away screaming. So I was stunned that one of the reviews says "it's amazing... This is a book to read whether you love or hate systemd. I genuinely dislike systemd, but reading this book made me discover uner a new sexy light."
@gamingonlinux Very excited to try this later, Overwatch2 runs on #Lutris for me but It's prone to frame drops and stutters, hopefully this is good enough for me to not need the separate Windows gaming drive anymore!
Are there many users of #Bookwyrm here? I'm not new to #foss but I am new to the #fediverse. I've used Goodreads for as long as I can remember. Any big pros or cons before I dive in?
This one is for all the new people on #Mastodon: did you know that the #fediverse has more than just a microblogging replacement? And that they can all interoperate with your Mastodon account?
Check them out!

@kushal I tend to use vim any time I'm editing configs or making quick scripts on Linux, if I'm working on something bigger it tends to be VSCode
@derickflorian Hey Derick! On Steam I just finished God Of War, I finished my third playthrough of Elden Ring, and I've invested quite a lot of hours into No Mans Sky!
Otherwise I live on Overwatch2 using Lutris :D
@skanman Hey, thanks! I mostly read sci-fi and fantasy but I wander through other genres on occasion. I recently read 'To Sleep In A Sea Of Stars', 'Bad Monkeys' and 'The Midnight Library' :)
I deleted all social media 5 years or so ago (great for mental health), started using Twitter again a couple years ago... and now I'm here :D
#introduction
Hello! I'm new here like many others, figured I'd try out all of the birdapp alternatives.
I'm a #linux user currently running arch/KDE on my main rig and PopOS/Gnome on my laptop.
I play a lot of video games, I read a lot of books. #overwatch #godofwar #gaming #linuxgaming #fantasy #scifi
I've been trying to learn #python for a few years now. Not so easy for me.
But yeah, hello! :)
@chrispydingo I'm new here so apologies if this tweet? toot? spaloot? breaks anything.
I just finished the game for the first time yesterday! I'd been distracted by NG+2 in Elden Ring.
The game was awesome though, I still have some Valkyries to deal with but I'm happy to start Ragnarok!!
