Seems like #PerplexityAI went all their way to lose their subscribers.
Here, the comparison between the worth-paying limits pre modification, and the new ones for PRO subscribers.
Have created a bare-bones issue page on the #ConsumerRights #Wiki, feel free

#Perplexity does not let you export your data, but if you live in #Europe, you can request it anyway appealing to the #GDPR.
It takes over a month to have your data, but once you do... you notice that they give you a json, an excel file, and an assets directory.
My wanted use case, was to have the conversations in a readable format, and in particular, wanted to import some of them into my #Obsidian vault.
Have so generated a #script to convert these exports into #markdown files.
Unfortunately, they do not give us the references used to generate the responses on the GDPR export... which are present when exporting from the web interface. Massively disappointed on that... It's one of the main reasons why I use their service... references 😅 have so made the script remove those empty links`[n]`.
The script was created making massive use of #AI #LLM, but it works, and have made it so it is an easily usable script. It uses the `uv` #python package manager.
It's on version 0.0.1 so super #experimental, but has already converted successfully all my 626 notes. (except for assets, need to work on that part)
feel free to clone it, modify it, improve it 🙂 The license is #GPLv2 . #FOSS #FLOSS
If you ever wanted to use your #SIM number as #VoIP at an affordable rate (0.04 cent/min in my case), 🥁 have finally found a solution to your (and mine) problem!
Here it comes the guide: https://furayoshi.com/blog/affordable-voip-calls-using-owned-sim-number-international/

Folks, have just found out about a comprehensive and community enhanced guide to #git!
I had no idea it existed! It's on #book, #ebook, web, and #repo version! And... under a #CreativeCommons BY-SA license!
@GrapheneOS is being threatened by French authorities for refusing to add backdoors and they're dealing with coordinated attacks in French media right now. They're pulling out of France entirely, moving all their servers, and fighting off a wave of bullshit one-sided reporting that makes them look like they're helping criminals.
They need us to fight back. Support them however you can, whether that's a dollar, sharing their story, pushing back on the garbage news coverage when you see it, or just telling someone you know about what's happening. All of it matters because they're drowning in attacks from governments and media and bad actors who want them gone.
This is the only Android OS that actually makes me feel like privacy isn't just marketing. They fight for us now they need us to fight for them.
The EU is pushing Chat Control and creating an environment where governments feel empowered to threaten developers into compliance, and if we stay quiet we're letting it happen. Show up for them in whatever way you're able to.

France isn't a safe country for open source privacy projects. They expect backdoors in encryption and for device access too. Secure devices and services are not going to be allowed. We don't feel safe using OVH for even a static website with servers in Canada/US via their Canada/US subsidiaries.
@otyugh @straybun @watchfulcitizen France's government is making false and unsubstantiated claims about Signal to promote the Olvid app made in France:
France is pushing for encryption backdoors which could be forced into Olvid due to it being based in France but could not be forced into Signal since Signal would simply stop operating in France as we're choosing to do going forward.
They're absolutely attacking Signal in addition to GrapheneOS.
#Goodbye #TopazLabs, has been a terrible time together. Your change to a subscription model with bribes for "Founding members" has been an inspiration to find alternatives and part ways.

Since I'm having difficulties, and had them in the past as well, with #OBS crashing when changing Profile or Scene, have created a #Bash script to change these values manually by editing the `user.ini` file.
You shoot `fura-OBS-selector.sh` and select your Profile and Scene.
Remember that currently, names of the files must be without spaces or symbols, included hyphens!
I'm using the flatpak version of OBS, customize your paths accordingly :)
Also, feel free to send pull requests ^^

Got #WebP to load in #Inkscape!
I thought for a long time that Inkscape simply doesn't support WebP, but that isn't true. The problem, rather, was that the gdk-pixbuf loader for WebP was not installed on my system.
People using #Debian or another distro based on it need to install the package named “webp-pixbuf-loader”. That's all you need to do; merely installing the package will enable WebP support in Inkscape.
This should also enable WebP thumbnails in #Nautilus, if you use #Gnome.

#Blender Beta has been upgraded to #ReleaseCandidate!
It's a happy moment, the official release is near!! 😍
Since the #Linux beta script is no longer working because a beta no longer exists, have written another, you can use this one to stay up to date with the latest available Release Candidate version! 😄
