@GrapheneOS is being threatened by French authorities for refusing to add backdoors and they're dealing with coordinated attacks in French media right now. They're pulling out of France entirely, moving all their servers, and fighting off a wave of bullshit one-sided reporting that makes them look like they're helping criminals.

They need us to fight back. Support them however you can, whether that's a dollar, sharing their story, pushing back on the garbage news coverage when you see it, or just telling someone you know about what's happening. All of it matters because they're drowning in attacks from governments and media and bad actors who want them gone.

This is the only Android OS that actually makes me feel like privacy isn't just marketing. They fight for us now they need us to fight for them.

The EU is pushing Chat Control and creating an environment where governments feel empowered to threaten developers into compliance, and if we stay quiet we're letting it happen. Show up for them in whatever way you're able to.

#grapheneos #Privacy #NoBackdoors #encryption #security #chatControl

France isn't a safe country for open source privacy projects. They expect backdoors in encryption and for device access too. Secure devices and services are not going to be allowed. We don't feel safe using OVH for even a static website with servers in Canada/US via their Canada/US subsidiaries.

@otyugh @straybun @watchfulcitizen France's government is making false and unsubstantiated claims about Signal to promote the Olvid app made in France:

interoperable-europe.ec.europa

lemonde.fr/en/economy/article/

France is pushing for encryption backdoors which could be forced into Olvid due to it being based in France but could not be forced into Signal since Signal would simply stop operating in France as we're choosing to do going forward.

They're absolutely attacking Signal in addition to GrapheneOS.

Before deciding to use Affinity, I was indeed using a similar workflow @jay , / Blender > (for the conversion) and as a final step 😄
But it's really rare that I have to deal with CMYK these days... ^^
Even if, I would love to have CMYK working in Inkscape direct, you never know when you need it ! :)

I know that someone at Inkscape was recently working on it.. was it you @doctormo ?

@jay
Ooooh, the CS/CC versions of ... when things were still great and purchasing was owning, those good old times.... Have used CS6/CC extensively, until I've decided to move to , where I needed to rebuild my workflows from scratch 😄 Took me a good year to get ready to leave Adobe behind, and 2 in total to get comfortable with all the new tools :)
Exception made for the processing, with that one, I've never been able to get comfortable XD
Luckily, Affinity exists :) even if we need a VM (or dual boot like you) to run it..

Regarding Substance, version 2020 from Steam is still working for me, so hopefully will yours too 😄

Another interesting piece of software (not FOSS, tho) is by MakhamDev, I use it via Proton on Steam, and works relatively well considering it is made for Windows.. but ehi, it works and is fairly cheap (10$), still need to learn it properly, have just reopened today after a while 😄

On , I've never used it directly for processing, I generally just download the models and load them into , either on the local machine, or on a rented one depending on the size of the model and if it requires fp8 native calculations 🙂 About the OpenVINO.... have heard of it, but never explored!

.... And yes, I have a penguin that I wear with love! 🐧😄

@jay I already use those apps, I'm a full time user/creator 😄 I do not personally like .. I try to avoid it 🤣 If I can, I go with in its place 😊 About same thing, I tend to go with instead, and for , my is 😄
About ... my guess is the same as yours, and I'm also worried we might eventually loose our access to the now-forgotten lifetime versions.. Which at the moment, is one of the few reasons why I still need to maintain a ..
What I'm surprised of.. is that the perpetuals of still work, at least for my version! Even if Adobe purchased them from .. so there's hope I guess 😅 Still, it's not through Steam, so who knows.. tags

, has been a terrible time together. Your change to a subscription model with bribes for "Founding members" has been an inspiration to find alternatives and part ways.

Since I'm having difficulties, and had them in the past as well, with crashing when changing Profile or Scene, have created a script to change these values manually by editing the `user.ini` file.
You shoot `fura-OBS-selector.sh` and select your Profile and Scene.
Remember that currently, names of the files must be without spaces or symbols, included hyphens!
I'm using the flatpak version of OBS, customize your paths accordingly :)

Also, feel free to send pull requests ^^

come idea mi piace @ribby ! Con chat attiva, disattiva, o attiva ma ignorata? :blob3c:

@ribby non si possono fare tagli, puo' essere interessante, ma anche un incovenience... hmm, si puo' anche registrare in live e poi tagliare e ripubblicare editato :)
Comunque come idea mi piace, sinceramente, ero convinto la nostra intervista sarebbe stata in diretta all'inizio XD

That's great to hear @edumerco ! This proves that changing keyboard layout was a big part of forgetting about the pain! I was unsure if it was more the layout or the ergonomic design, now I know the layout was a big part of it, thanks for sharing your findings! :ablobaww:

@freemo , any plan for`webp` support on ? always have to do a `magick $1.webp $1.png` before uploading a screenshot :) or it could convert before/after upload ^^ that would also be great!

Got #WebP to load in #Inkscape!

I thought for a long time that Inkscape simply doesn't support WebP, but that isn't true. The problem, rather, was that the gdk-pixbuf loader for WebP was not installed on my system.

People using #Debian or another distro based on it need to install the package named “webp-pixbuf-loader”. That's all you need to do; merely installing the package will enable WebP support in Inkscape.

This should also enable WebP thumbnails in #Nautilus, if you use #Gnome.

#Linux
