@admin @Mastodon should be aware and cautious of people who are putting vulgar and pornographic material on this social network. It may be a handiwork of other social networking platforms who feel threatened from @Mastodon. If proper precautions are not taken then the new users may not feel safe here forcing them to make less use of this platform.

We dont currently have any nude or NSFW accounts on QOTO, you are probably remarking on accounts you see on other networks that we federate with.

It's actually unfortunate if you don't have anything against vulgarity and pornography. I thought QOTO was specifically for asking questions to others and not for watching porn. I thought it was a platform for breeding intellectual thought process and not for enhancing euphemism.
At the moment we don't have any accounts that show any degree of nudity what so ever...
Its also important to note that your account can silence/mute an entire instance. This way you wont see any posts from anyone on that instance.
Since there are only a few nudity-oriented instances you can eliminate the vast majority of instances with just a few mutes.
@freemo @Surasanji @Jastej @arteteco @admin I recalled having making a post with a screenshot, showing Jastej how to Mute an account, or even block a whole instance/domain from his feed.
Found it - and it's worth looking at. I have used this myself to block a domain I object to.

I agree, the site is stable and well run, as well as having clearly stated policies and attentive staff.

@freemo @Jastej @arteteco @admin We are federated with the rest of the network. If you see a particular poster you do not wish to follow, you may silence or block them.
We do not, on the whole, like to silence or block instances.
In this case you will need to block those sorts of people on your own. They are not breaking any rules, and they are not members of our instance specifically.
