@DetectiveHyde @wowaname For most overweight people to be in ketosis you need less than 20 grams of carbs. I'd be curious to hear what veggies you can think of that are low enough in carbs that you can eat a days worth of them and still be under 20 grams. I can only really think of cucumbers maybe.

With that said I know if your skinnier or been on keto for a while you can go closer to 50 grams in a day and not break keto. I think at that end of the scale I could fit in way more veggies.

@wowaname For most people thats probably true. For people who struggle to loose weight it isnt always that easy though. If you need to diet and what diet works best is often a very personal thing. Everyone tends to operate different in that regard.

Personally I love keto diets (as many others do) because once in ketosis it eliminates all sense of hunger. So it makes dieting so much easier since you dont get the cravings.

@wowaname I meant to say "a keto" as in "Ketogenic diet". Its a diet that focuses on very low carbs in order to get the body into ketosis.

@dansup Man you must be getting such a hard time from the extremists.. but I think these are good features. Keep at it. If i have time over the weekend ill see if i can help a little.

@wowaname We actually are a bit low on supplies so didnt have any. I am on aketo diet (so no carbs) so i really cant eat most greens. usually i add a cup of spinach to my dinner because its the only veggie low enough in carbs. but i cant really eat anymore than that in a day sadly.

Today's dinner. Cheese stuffed beef (goat and young Dutch farmers cheese) and then some homemade Mac and cheese with 4 cheeses (young farmer, old farmer, goat, cheddar) and a no carb, no calorie pasta. Literally the best Mac and cheese I ever ate or made.

Best yet. This is DIET food. The whole meal has 3 carbs and almost all of our days calories is this one meal. To eat like this and say I still rocked the diet with really low calorie count is pretty damn epic. 35 lbs lost eating this stuff!

@msh Yea I'm over there. Also the instance im on qoto.org is a scholar-oriented instance as well. Lots of good people here and good services. So at least locally its not a problem.

@indexcensorship@mastodon.social I'm all for fixing the very serious problem we have with "fake news". But this is the absolute worst way to address that issue :(

@Azure Well i disagree on many of their stances (Even if overall i dont see them to be too bad). I agree with you that harsher sentencing is not the answer.

It is just important to point out they arent going to go out of their way to destroy your life over a small offense or anything. Even if they may be a bit more harsh than some.

@btcprox I think it probably just has more to do with if the initial seed population of each group was inviting to one or the other. After that the momentum of either group growing carried out the result.

@Azure The satanic temple is completely unrelated to the church of satan or LeVay Satanism. They practice completely different religious/moral ideals. They are not even remotely related. The Church of Satan is intended to practice LeVay's teachings but The Satanic Temple has absolutely nothing to do with either.

@Azure I feel like you may be misinterpreting LeVey on this one.. It isnt suggesting just because someone steps on your toe you destroy their whole life. You respond as much as is needed in order to protect yourself from the person. Its all about self-autonomy not about revenge.

With that said I do agree with you that I dont subscribe to LeVey Satanism either. But i don't see it as evil as the name tends to suggest either.

@btcprox True, but why liberals specifically. Conservatives feel that way too, and they went for gab not ActivityPub. I'm not sure that theory explains that part,
