liberal is a poor way to define people outside of the USA... liberal anywhere else in the world doesnt look anything like what we generally consider liberal.

Their version of liberal along witht he rest of the world is far more laid back. They wont hate you for not being liberal like they will here and they will have an earnest conversation like adults if you disagree.

@Jojothegoodperson to a canadian being powerful isnt as important as living a life that is good to the earth, to the people around them, and to the next generation.

@Jojothegoodperson lol only an American would go "Hmmm that country that has a low manageable population and mostly natural forests as far as the eye can see is really doing things all wrong, they need more babies!"

@Jojothegoodperson sure why not, we might have lost that war. But even if we did we would have become independent eventually, just look at canada.

In about 7 months QOTO will have its 4 year anniversary on the Fediverse. We need to think of a way to celebrate.

@Jojothegoodperson I'm not in the netherlands at the moment. I'am in the UUSa for about 10 days then off to egypt

@Jojothegoodperson britain is better than the USA, but just barely in some ways and worse in others.

@Jojothegoodperson yea the issues with the netherlands are really just the fiscal policies and a few of their laws.. but nothing too damning.

@Jojothegoodperson well the netherlands may not be perfect.. but they are the best I've seen.

America is the worst I've been to, but I havent been everywhere. Britain can be pretty bad, its kinda close to america but not as bad.

@Jojothegoodperson Immigrants in the netherlands seem to love the netherlands and are well educated on its history. All part of the test to get in.

America is a shit hole, very toxic and one of the worse places to live in my expiernce.

@Jojothegoodperson yea when you have an extremely strict society socially then that is the result a low crime rate.

What about the netherlands. They are very much the opposite of japan. Socially they are very lax, much better acceptance of diversity, and they too have a very low crime rate.

@Jojothegoodperson Thats how they are now. You need to bow a certain way, exchange phone numbers holding your card a very specific way, you have to address people using honorific titles (similar to "sir" and "madam" here but more so....

@Jojothegoodperson psychology is about better understanding people. It doesnt mean all the problems go away just because you understand them better.

@Jojothegoodperson The netherlands is my favorite place to be so far in terms of people.

@Jojothegoodperson Sure, but I would hate to live in a socially restrictive culture where there is a very strict sense of formal social interactions

I much prefer cultures where people accept the idiosyncrasies of others.

@Jojothegoodperson While I think japan is a lovely place for those who wish to live in a place like that I suspect I would find it very unenjoyable personally. Its not the way I'd want to see our country "fixed"

@Jojothegoodperson I'm not sure an IQ will fix the problem honestly... its more than stupidity.
