On top of that we generally have a policy of not blocking any instance except under one condition: If the admin specifically condones when people admit to opening multiple accounts and using them to **knowingly** circumvent bans. That is literally the only reason QOTO will ever defederate and as such there is only a single instance with more than a few users we have ever had to defederate from. Even then it is just a silence and not a complete block so users are free to interact if they wish.

I did say "might" for a reason. I have no reason to know if he is or not. But he does have the ability to manipulate code so replies dont show in thread if he wanted to. It would not be below him if he did this. But as I said I dont know why you arent seeing some of my replies honestly, thats the only thing I could speculate on and would have to dig deeper to see if there is any truth to it.

The only vetting we do is to ask someone if they are in a STEM field or what area of STEM they study/engage in. The only people who get rejected are the people who say "none".

Many of our users are PhD's, some have no education and just work as programmers, yet others just love talking about STEM. No real restriction as long as you love and are interested in STEM.

As for the kind of posting you do if that is welcome. I do not know much about your content, I'd have to review it. You can read our rules if you are in doubt. If it is nothing offensive, and it isnt explicitly anti-STEM in its nature (the earth is flat, and all scientists are trying to spread a conspiracy that the moon is real) then you are probably ok.

In terms of social atmosphere, there is an expectation of respectful discourse to a point. but when people do disagree and get heated, which is rare, we just ask they mute eachother and move on.

We do not require PhDs or any credentials to join QOTO. You simply need to be in a STEM field or studying/interested in STEM, even just as a hobby.

LOL wow you are getting desperate with the lies. As @realcaseyrollins will attest, who is in this thread, he started on my instance and I was extremely supportive of him starting his own. I even offered to teach him how to administer his own instance and offered to send him an extra computer I had lying around so he could run his own instance from home... but hey whatever you gotta make up to bolster that fanboy army of yours I guess.

All my replies are still visible from QOTO. But I have noticed some funkiness too. I suspect P might be manipulating things on his end (since the OP is a FSE post) in order to prevent my replies on the thread. He really hates it when someone calls out his lies with what actually happened and last time I did that he tried to DoS QOTO (and publicly announced he was doing this). So wouldnt surprise me if he is taking to more subtle measures.

P and jojo are best buds. I've had a history with both in one sense or another since FSE first arrived on the fediverse (FSE I was started not too long after QOTO as I recall). I used to be quite supportive of both but when one of FSE users literally started making death threats, and then once the person was blocked stated publicly he would make multiple accounts to circumvent the block the admin (P) was notified and he lost his shit because QOTO was considering defederating due to lack of moderator action.

QOTO doesnt defederate easily, rude or even racist users wont lead to defederation for example. Our only rule is that if an admin/moderator doesnt act on clear cases of users creating accounts that are used to circumvent bans then and only then do we defederate. So FSE was being debated for defederation on those grounds, and ever since then P went nuclear. His very fragile ego doesnt take criticism well and he will forever be vengeful if he is forced to loose control of a situation.

Anyway since then I stayed on good terms with jojo regardless until the most recent incident. The instance of P loosing his shit and thinking random people, including his own users, were me and blocking them was because I mentioned I had alts somewhere on the fediverse and found it funny how P went out of his way to unknowingly follow all my alts and reboost their posts unaware he was following me.

I'd say thats a spot on description.

I will add, if he doesnt want to get blamed for things like hacking he probably shouldnt have gotten so unhinged at knowing I had alts somewhere in the fediverse as to resort to a DoS attack on QOTO over the course of hours and then announcing it on the fedi. His ISP issued him a warning and was told to stop or else loose hosting (at least according to what I heard from the ISP) which is probably the only reason he stopped.

Sorry I took your reply as sarcasm, I guess it was either meant more as condescension than sarcasm, or maybe i misread.

I am also on the fence about listing them by name simply because his friend group and who he respects I think is obvious and so its an easy thing to judge for yourself without getting into a character assassination war.

Thanks, it was one of my finer moments. Thankfully P, like most people with such a fragile ego, is very easy to manipulate. Just say something that breaks his illusion of control and he will go on a bender for months. It is top class entertainment.

I've enjoyed every minute of it. P's unending obsession with me makes me blush, and I certainly have no objection joining in when he starts up every few weeks.

He had me on block for a hot minute but loves me so much he had to unblock me just to come back and see all my posts and get a piece of this fine ass again.

I just hope he uses condoms this time.
