@muehlfield@social.tchncs.de We do waste a lot of money on the poor that is ineffective at improving their situation. All for cutting that spending. But we have to be prepared to spend money, and alot, on programs that are effective at getting the poor out of poverty.

Even from a business standpoint it makes good sense to invest in the poor and train them to have marketable skills and no longer reliant on the system.

@kensanata@octodon.social @GeekDaddy@octodon.social People I follow and mute are people I'm considering following. I do not mute their notifications, they just dont show up in my timeline.

When I clean up accounts i look at only the muted ones and review their posts and occasionally upgrade people to an unmuted status or after a time delete them.

But yea its like a bookmark to consider them for later.

@falgn0n Agreed, I absolutely need to visit so I can get to experience that!
