Been slowly taking my , , , and collection out of storage and putting it on display. All except a few pieces here I found myself and cut/polished (the others were gifts). This is less than 1/4 of my collection.

Your post has the video directly in the post. So i can play the video inside your post. Normally when i post a video it is just a link and you have to hit the link and it opens in a new window before you can view it.

@prydt@niu.moe well technically anyone running a cryptocurrency miner also has the same power to set the rules however they like. Its just in doing so they create a fork in the blockchain.

It isnt that different than federation in that sense. If one server decides to break the rules of another group of servers then those servers are likely to block your server and you create a "fork" in the community where one group of servers cant talk to another.

@imbsky How did you add a video preview in your post? My posts never have that.

@prydt@niu.moe Can you give any sort of technical way in which they are different?

@mangeurdenuage @xrevan86 hmm, I'd love to find out. Would be nice to have on this instance im hosting here.

@lbs@chaos.social I'm sure people in the past were offended that the issue they fought for was an issue at all. It has more to do with out the interactions go down. In the past I'm sure people were more capable of mature debate without devolving into calling the other person a nazi or loosing their shit over the conversation itself. They were much more apt to disagree with something without resorting to a childish temper tantrum. The problem isnt with the issues that offend them, it is with everything else (including dialogue or difference of opinions) offending them that is the issue.

As for why the last frame doesnt show a specific issue, I think that is intentional. I suspect the author didnt want to look like they were blaming the left or the right or any one issue on this pattern, which I agree with. Instead this is an issue most people have on most issues on either side of an issue. Particularly americans.

@prydt@niu.moe Is that any different than asking what sort of software is well suited for a distributed architecture?

@lbs@chaos.social That wasnt how I interpreted it. I interpreted it to mean in the past we had huge struggles to deal with but faced them (and solved many) head on, without taking offence but by doing. Todays generation has lost that and instead becomes offended instantly by even nonissues and as such struggles to solve the issues we face.

@lbs@chaos.social Its a jab at the fact that in america right now people are incapable of engaging in mature debates with differences of opinion. People are automatically offended by anyone who disagrees with them.
