@AlphaKiloPapa

I have called out the palestinians when they did it, and called out the israli on the many times they did it as well.

You expect someone to mention every offense caused by everyone when you are pointing out the offense of a recent event? That seems counter productive we would be here all day.

@AlphaKiloPapa

Are you trying to claim that is and should be the norm in war and acceptable? I dont find it any more acceptable when they do it.

@AlphaKiloPapa Most wars have some regard for the safety of innocents. For example there are countless examples of battles where schools were in the battle zone and both commanders agreed to move.

It is virtually unheard of to set off bombs on individuals in non military zones without awareness to the surroundings the bomb will go off in.

I wish i got caught in more booby traps... I love it when im trapped by boobies!

Just a reminder, the exploding pagers is another in a **long** line of **terrorist** campaigns by Israel. It is counter to international law, and further highlights their complete disregard for the safety of innocent people.

Knowing what you don't know is almost as important as knowing what you do know -- Highlander

As a second degree mason (so very new to ) I have to say, I am very impressed with the quality of the people and their stated values. I particularly like the requirement for study of religion and the study of the sciences and arts. Very few organizations are wise enough to put importance on both.

The requirements to join Freemasonry I find particularly noble:

* Must be of good moral repore
* Must study and learn the arts & sciences (Math, Astronomy, music, language, and logic are specifically listed).
* Must believe and study god or a higher power.
* Must treat his fellow man with compassion and love

For comparison the average price of premiums since Obamacare was passed to trumps election in 2016 had doubled going from ~$200 for individuals in 2010 to $400 by Trumps election in 2016.

Likewise premiums continued to rise under Trump increasing by almost another 50% (half of relative increase as under Obama).

The way scientists pull information out of multiple sources is soooo cool sometimes...

I'm not a hhuge fan of Jordan Peterson, but this one is spot on. Not so much about him not using trans people's pronouns, I dont agree with that. But his point about being willing to offend people is quite valid. The issue with not using the proper pronoun is **not** because you might offend someone, it is because caring about people is not the same thing as not offending someone. Not using their desired pronouns comes from a place of not caring about someone, using them is not an attempt to avoid offense, its to show them you care.

@luckytran

On the one hand this feels like hypochondria to me. On the other I do think it would be useful for a subset of the population who are immunocompromised.

@eriner

I think its hilarious how two complete failures of an administration are literally our only two choices, if you beleive the 2 party myth... I find it quite telling that even now people wont consider third parties because they buy into some myth about only 2 parties mattering... Time to move on to better ideologies.

@chris I think there are quite a few in the middle servers. infosec might even qualify actually they arent too polarized

@Strandjunker The constitution passes that off to congress, which in turn must vote explicitly to define the number of judges. It used to be 6, now its 9.

Abortion rights are set by the states, which is exactly how the constitution is designed to handle things not addressed int he constitution, either congress needs to address it or it passes on to the states.

@micchiato@mastodon.social

Never doubted it for a second. The amount of racism spewed from democrats and republicans daily is just depressing.

@chris Thats suprisingly polarized.. its the most cringe servers from **both** sides of the spectrum with almost none in the middle.

@amerika

About 4%

No not sure i see your point. Why would refering to a hospital at only 4% have a major effect? Also the bill your talki g about would only drive up prices in the case of the uninsured who dont pay. If they cant afford insurance or to pay why would they have a gp to begin with?

@stevebenen @argv_minus_one

@amerika

Dont confuse hospitals with practices that may operate out of a hospital but is seperate. Generally hospitals are for emergencies or overnight stays. And yes one might expect overnight stays at a hospital to increase in price.

But we are talking about general practituoners. They arent hospitals, they arent even competing with hospitals. Theyboffer entierly unrelated and isolated services.

Its like arguing a tax on apples would cause an increase the proce of 2x4 because they are both something a construction worker might buy.
