Remember a vote for third party is avote for ::checks notes:: whoever you dont want to win apparently.

Funny how it changes based on whoever will convince you most to support a 2-party system. Nah the most important vote is one against a 2-party system.

@freemo This is from Wonder Showzen, two seasons of the most offensive and fucked up stuff that TV would permit to be broadcasted. Season one was great, season two meh.

80s TV logic: No matter how far someone falls from, even a plane, they will be perfectly fine as long as someone catches them.

@freemo @stux

Not *any*, no.

I wonder if liberals realize the only reason Trump is likely to be on the presidential ballot again is because they spent the last 4 years talking about an irrelevant asshat and ensuring he remained relevant and a talking point this long.

The thing is, I have no doubt biden knew, because up against almost anyone other than Trump he would have lost hands down. He almost needs Trump to win the primaries for him to even have a chance. After all he built his whole career on being marginally more appealing than Trump.

My friend has a daughter and if you ask her "What religion are you?" She answers "Jewish and Christmas"... so cute.

Talking about French language

@freemo It's purposefully made this way. French used to be an inclusive and much simpler language, but the issue with having white dudes with huge ego and an hypocritically elitist-mindset running the country for centuries, that's pretty much what we get. That's mostly because of how wrongfully interpreted our old literature is. We have a bunch of memes showing the difference between the meaning of books, poems and theater scripts given by "scholars" and the meaning theorized by actual book writers and historians.

But that's a whole debate that could go on for ages, even french people don't know what they want. Sometimes, there are people debating for weeks about whether we should remove a letter from a word or not, some people arguing that it would make the word easier to learn for people who aren't native speakers as well as making it more easily understandable, while others would argue that it's "denaturing our language" (which is such a dumb take, knowing that the whole purpose of a language is to help people communicate as well as being adapted to usages in society and better convey whatever idea or emotion has to be exchanged, explained or formulated in order for people to understand each other).

Brits are the only ones who will go "its not odor it is odour" and sound fancy as hell

Please favor and boost. Let show that love can overcome hate and ignorance.

I am certain that 100% of people under 40 who know the meaning of the word loquacious only know it because they watched Harry Potter.

Puff the magic dragon: A song about a little kid who smoked weed and as he got older he stopped smoking and his dragon friend commited suicide.

The moral of the story: never stop smoking weed or your murder dragons!

Next time people try to tell you how affordable homes were in the 1950s remind them, a modern day thermostat provides and contains more wealth than an entire 1950s home.

The boltzman brain idea had me realize something important... in any infinite universe where life is possible, however unlikely, **must** have life in it.

Add in limitations on light speed and if that life is sufficiently rare than all instances of life would be unable to observe any other instance of life.

All of my most prolific chance encounters have been with old dudes alone by a lake peeling an apple.

One such incident I recall and I still use his knowledge to this day. Never dont not listen to an old dude in the woods, they are wise as fuck :)
