@freemo@qoto.org Also election year. Media isn't going to run stories that threaten the Democrats. And conservative media is racist and hates black people so they aren't going to say shit either.

Holy fuck how am I just hearing about this....

Apparently a black man (not sure if his race was relevant) was kicked out of an ambulance mid ride because he couldnt breath an in a panic he tried to get to the oxygen and the EMT was offended by this and kicked him out of the ambulance mid ride... Cops arrived to get him out of the ambulance. In the end he died.

How are we not rioting over this yet we did over george floyd? Seriously... this deserves all the same outrage, more! Oh right, Trump isnt president, Biden is, that might be bad for the election, lets not huh? Liberals only hate the injustice when its in their favor I guess....

George floyd deserved outrage, this deserves outrage.

Is there anything in the #Texas laws themselves that bans something like a D&C?

It's my observation that cases like these aren't necessarily because "don't treat miscarriages properly" is in the law, but it's because these laws are often vague and the doctors are trying not to brush up against the limits of the law. No doctor wants to go to jail and risk losing their livelihood.

But sooner or later we'll need some courageous doctors to try and treat women in these situations so that at the very least there are clearer legal precedents for these cases.

@freemo Of course those do not apply to all or even most people of any of those faiths. But if you have to ask which characteristics of each faith have done good and harm to the world as a whole, those would be my picks.

Now we need to add Buddhism (and Eastern enlightenment seeking in general) to this list.

@freemo 1: (Good) Tend to think things through from first principles. (Bad) Downright dogmatic in their rejection of any possible spiritual reality.
2: (Good) Developed human rights and modern civilization (Bad) Everyone else is going to hell, and that was used to rationalize bad actions.
3: (Good) Strong cultural immune system, charity is built into their faith (Bad) explicitly allowed to war against nonbelievers.
4: (Good) Respect for education and brains (Bad) Allowed to exploit outsiders.

Name one thing you like the most and hate the most about each of these cultures. Please be sure its respectful and compassionate criticism (though harsh is ok), but hate speech and slurs will be blocked on site.

Watching "Dr who the star beast".. they leaned a bit heavier into the woke side of things, but while a bit on the heavy side I liked it. Right until the end, the end they said something like "We have a power a male-presenting time-lord will never have... letting go". Got that was cringe, sexist, and ruined it.

I have to say its pretty nice being able to eat a five guys burger for dinner with bacon and literally be completely within the bounds of my diet and not needing to cheat at all.

I still wish it had a damn bun though!

My job isnt so bad. Afterall i could be the guy who has to put all those tiny rubber bands on the claws of lobsters.

I think I'm just starting to enter ketosis, I noticed my thirst levels just started to bottom out.

What is this witchcraft... ive eaten 2 meals, not super hungry, and somehow still have 900 calories left in my diet for the day (and thats not my break even point, thats my loose 2 lbs a week point).

What the hell is going on....

Does anyone know where I can find the **full** "Trump made god" video? It looks like gold to mock Trump and im entirely on board for the entertainment.

I do find it odd though its so hard to find the full video, especially considering how much attention it is getting. Usually this would make me suspect it is taken out of context to make it seem more absurd, but frankly, based on what I already saw I am not sure how that is possible. Still, would really like to see the original so I can judge it properly.

@freemo This is a retelling of The Learned Man's Paradox. The more that one learns, the more they know that they don't know.

If only he had the Mandelbrot Set. Patterns repeat... sometimes kinda. :/
