two CMEs hit the earth at the exact same time Ida makes landfall, thus inhibiting the use of HAM radio to provide effective emergency services. What shitty timing on the sun's part.

Man my crypto investments just keep winning. Cardano/ADA has really been on a roll for the past few months. With the smart contract release in 2 weeks I expect it to just keep going up...

Crypto printer go brrrrrr....

To all my asian friends out there (and those who tried it)... is the "Golden Nest Swallow Nest Beverage" worth me getting and trying. It is unusual, so im immediately curious, but its also expensive.

Angel, one of the puppers I found a home for. She passed away from cancer, but she smiled every minute with her new home.

Originally some piece of shit family had abandoned her in a home by herself.. She was crying and thirsty and hungry. I took her in and rescued her but couldn't keep an animal due to my travels. So I had her until I found a family who could take care of a terminal dog. Thankfully I found one and she was treated like a queen until the day she passed.. It was sad to loose her, and I visited her often to take her on walks and catch up, but it was the happiest ending she could have hoped for.

I miss this happy little angel.

This pretty much sums up my worst nightmare... these are squat toilets you take a dookie in with no privacy dividers.

Some pictures of my APRS station brought back to life. Currently being heard in Ireland, Canada, Germany, and Washington state (I'm on the opposite coast).

@Science

Sweet, just brought back up my APRS radio station transmitting on both VHF and HF frequencies. Looks like it is working great I am being heard in both Ireland and Canada on the HF side!

Can't wait to get back to coding PEAK (the APRS software I run that runs a next gen version of APRS I am developing).

Just had a nice 10m QSO... I do love the 10m, 6m, 1.25m and similar bands that are a bit more "obscure"

Lately I've been getting noticed around the world and online in random places, usually STEM oriented.

Just now two people from a random internet chat room ( # ) knew who I was, had a similar experience in a Science forum. Even in person, I visited a maker space I had never been to and more than one person came up to me and said "Aren't you freemo, from mastodon".

It feels weird being recognized when I go random places. I feel like I lost a sort of natural anonymity. Havent felt this way in decades (when i was younger I was on the news a lot and was recognized often as well).

I guess the reason its so surprising is I didnt really realize how much reach I had until just now. I mostly joined the fediverse just so I could shit post in peace, lol.
