They stand the cold and quite well but few small spots tell me it's time to liquidate and not lose stock as they go bad behind you back...

So just endlessly cook the whole pieces in any ( yum!) and re-hydrate into one giant pot cooking almost whole (split in half and take seeds out - that's it - into pot!_ I eat the skin too which is like melon skin but better - perhaps like or apple skin when soft.

Why - it's faster and more food for you / less waste and taste really good.

Funny how people get used to throwing and peeling absolutely everything!

Facial Recognition is slowly
getting embedded in most systems in the name of security.

This needs to stop.

Not only it will not help, but it will definitely harm a lot of innocent people: Identity theft and doxing when the inevitable data breaches happen. False positives, which can be very high and even higher for people of color. Normalized discrimination for many.

We collectively need to
refuse each time facial recognition is requested, and we need to write to our public representatives to demand better legislation against it.

If we do not refuse to participate and
we do not fight for our privacy rights collectively, we will lose them.

The whole takedown system is majorly flawed and now it's going to be even worse. As long as there's no punishment for filing unwarranted DMCA/whatever takedown and sending the request is cheap/free accidents/incompetent/purposefuly evil takedowns will continue.

What has been on my mind today: the high costs of digital sovereignty and privacy.

I quit #Substack and pay 30€ a month for a Creator plan on #Ghost (approx. 360 Euros a year).

I quit Dropbox in favor of #Proton Unlimited (drive but also mail, calendar. VPN). 119 Euros/year.

I nuked my Google Analytics accounts in favor of #Plausible (90 Euros/year).

I'm HAPPY to pay for these services & yet I'm highly aware of my privilege.

#BigTech won't fade in popularity anytime soon bc it's free 😩

Perhaps more is much easier and believable but even AI can fake what evidence you can really think you 'see' but is not there at all (Deepfake videos, poor statistics, framing, narrative etc).

So the meaning of "arbitrary" in this context is what I'm focusing on to mean "someone's or a groups opinion" and therefore "arbitrary" if literally I don't have things in my hand and if I didn't go myself to count it PLUS can honestly and measurably question those 'fact"-ing

Seems harsh and I'm not saying "believe nothing" but imagine it's easy to tell a lie about anything from distance and people even inside the hierachy don't see what's actually going on. .

So a quick/bad example:
if an American group or agency tells me what's good for me / us and quote some numbers then I'm much less likely to believe *anything* from USA (again seems harsh but as quick example and certainly at least almost everything political modern times more than ever has just been bloat and exaggerated).

People with a bad reputation / manipulation / violence to everyone in I think cant repeat things so there's that too.

Long-story short :
it's all so calculated (and miscalculated) / controlled / conquered / manipulated etc...

It's hard not to have things so inaccurate today as people wouldn't write bad about themselves and toward more towards constant power and control.

ADDED to that is how one phrases and words the counting (even assuming it's right by numbers, how you say it is not always perfect or purely said).
