I think we can solve most of everything ourselves (we don't need to wait forever for leaders and rich people to change because they won't and they already decided!)... IF ONLY we start talking together THEN we can do it and snowball all good things on Fedi!

So copy and paste costs the Fediverse a whole lot more and actually takes time to download (ever wonder while it crawls some pictures?)!
TONS OF BANDWIDTH AND STORAGE / DOWNLOAD / CACHE just to see few hundred KB pic for what was 1 small JPG!
#CopyPaste is useful and PNG I understand cleans #EXIF data (doesn't store it) but surely a #JPG could do the same (there might be more reasons but I don't see them)...

In 2010 I left Facebook and set out to build a decentralised alternative. What I found out along the way is that it wasn't just Facebook I was replacing. What we created was a privacy-respecting overlay network on top of the internet so we could replace the entire surveillance state with a system where you controlled access to your thoughts and ideas and shared it on a single sign-in decentralised network. In fact we built that, and it works great, but most people rejected it because they don't understand what that has to do with Facebook. Everything and nothing amigo. We've been living in this privacy respecting overlay internet for nearly a decade now and refuse to go back to the old ways. We've always hoped the internet itself would catch on and evolve to meet us halfway, but it seems to be devolving, so in retrospect the architectural design (as an overlay network) turned out to be the correct one.

In the rest of the UK council tax debt is written off after 6 years. In Scotland it's 20 years or longer.
Fear of bailiffs means people don't go to councils for the help they need, locking them in a cycle of poverty.
Today the Scottish Parliament can vote for our amendment to change that.
