Often language has similar words or similar sounding words that people speak with incorrectly without really knowing or realizing it's misleading or not quite right.

There is a more specific words and less misleading versions of or ...

➡️ For example "Common sense"
...might mean "Common principles"

"Sense" is similar to "principles" but importantly principles can be more specific or measured way of saying / doing things so a list everyone can see is more agreeable, rather than your own version of "sense" which might be differently measured than list of "principles".

Since EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT and naturally they have different personality, it's better to measure it a bit more clearly which a list of principles in the middle which can help indicate agreement or debate things with less .

➡️ Another example
(quick-fast / maybe not perfect)

💜 Love for others is perhaps top of the of for Jesus ✝️ and his principles - so clears up a lot of confusion between people or or - presenting a |Yes| or |No| simple question

We all need need to debate what loving people or looking after them means perhaps after that, but can assume better and not guess too not far off than even more general / unspecific words.

So if is top 5 on your list then a debate "Common sense" or "Common principles" about Jesus or something can be quickly agreed / answered rather than something .

are always good.

"Common sense" is a thought-stopping phrase and concept. It is the same as saying, "Just go with cultural traditions which support prejudice and oppression because those are familiar and comfortable."

When you see someone appealing to "common sense" when defending prejudice/bigotry, they're encouraging people to suspend thought or criticism that might challenge prejudice, and instead, retreat unthinkingly to the comfortable inertia of the social norms which establish the prejudice in question.

I’m a bad person with a short temper, who occasionally realizes his anger should be turned on himself.

But thank you for your kindness.

I'm honestly really fucking angry I don't see anyone in tech talking about this, ever.

The two hardest problems in Computer Science are

1. Human communication
2. Getting people in tech to believe that human communication is important

Totally agree. This is why I argue for "non-autistic" in papers to describe research participants who are... not autistic, but could be unusual in loads of ways we didn't measure.

I am Palestinian.
Not a terrorist. Not a threat.
I am a human being trying to keep my children alive.
My children don’t dream of toys or holidays —
they dream of warmth, food, and a night without fear.
We are civilians. We are freezing. We are starving.
We are asking for the most basic right: to live.
Please don’t scroll past our pain.
Stand with humanity.
Help us survive.

People are not so interested in challenging themselves.

They will throw stones at remote / far-away people - but not just build friendship from strangers or even solidarity - it's all too one-way.

(this is after trying with many on Mastodon including top posters aligned - my profile PROVES my own experience). Just posting or throwing insults does BUILD (in the ) BETTER PEOPLE or even improve yours when you scratch the surface (we all have to face and practice actual conversation more, even randomly, as that's better than cursing the rich who are too far to reach and they 99% don't want to change / PROVEN IT THEMSELVES OVER A LOT OF TIME!).

WISE UP - talk to me / each other / audio chats welcome my side....
No complaints.

Palestine Action hunger strikers launch legal action against UK government

Lawyers of the group threaten court proceedings as top ministers refuse to meet them to discuss the protesters’ welfare.

London, United Kingdom – Lawyers of imprisoned hunger-striking activists linked to the protest group Palestine Action have put the British government on notice as the justice secretary refuses to meet them.

Imran Khan & Partners, which represents the collective, wrote a pre-claim letter to the government on Monday, warning that they would seek a High Court case should officials fail to respond by Tuesday afternoon.

Eight activists, aged between 20 and 31, have participated in a rolling strike that began on November 2. There are rising fears that one or more of them could soon die in jail.

In recent days, their relatives and loved ones have told Al Jazeera of their deteriorating health and repeated hospital admissions.

Their lawyers have long called for a meeting with Justice Secretary David Lammy to discuss welfare and prison conditions, believing such an intervention could be life-saving.
