Certain people who like AI pictures, could try for this job. The vacancy is open. Captain Newfoundland from 1940.

San Francisco is freezing. My wife just came back from my son who works there. They have no insulation and gaps in the doors you could spit through. She is much warmer in Toronto.

So, our fellow Torontonian wore this. Does this creep you out as a serial killer trophy? I just keep thinking of dead bodies.

UK will repeat last week's cold. This is an identical cyclone to the last one. It will suck down cold air from the pole.

This doesn't mean anything about future temperature predictions, but it is interesting to note that the tropical belt temperatures are falling faster than any other latitude band. The Pacific continues to take in a lot of cold water and doesn't show any sign of ending the continuous La Nina. If we want to get back to warmth, then this cold feed has to stop. And if Australia wants to dry up a little.

Felt earthquake in Texas due to water injection. They are constantly getting bigger.

The Gananoque zone of whitel death.

The snow comes up Kingston and hits the horrible 401 section to Montreal. These conditions of lake effect snow from the SW still give me shudders thinking about it.

MIMIC charts

With these you see the 'speed' of the temperature changes. In NA we have a giant chocolate fountain, of the Pacific plumes going up and then down on us. In Europe, the cold blob is moving faster again as the Atlantic plume is diving south.

Frozen knife clipper

On my blog I'm calling it 'Clipper of Frozen Death', but that's ridiculous. The mechanics are neat, and I've never seen this before. In Europe, the cold blob has gobbled Germany.

North America has the Pacific plumes spouting a fountain of cold on us. I am surprised that the Europe cold blob keeps moving. The Guard headline: Met Office predicts more high winds and flooding as ‘atrocious’ weather continues

Sea levels rise

You can see that the sea level at Boston is constantly rising. NASA will bury deep down that 'absolute sea level' is not rising. I always used to call that sea level. I am not stating what is going on here.

State of the oceans update

I normally wait for the ocean current report, but I won't do video here. La Nina is no longer the little sister and has become bigger than El Nino. That's very sexist, anyway. Continuing to call it La Nina is equivalent to calling an M9 a microearthquake I am constantly looking for any sign that the Pacific Cold Phase is going away. This type of ocean current change can last for decades or centuries. Poor Australians can continue to grow mushrooms in their hair for the next 300 years. I now suspect this sort of thing was behind the Little Ice Age.

Physics weather

The Pacific plumes are holding, as they scoop cold air down on NA. Once the pattern holds, it could stay for a month or two. The Europe cold blob appears to have stopped.

Texas earthquake

Just an extension earthquake, but they continue to get bigger and bigger.

3 month physics forecast

Weak Pacific plumes are allowing a constant pumping of Arctic air down NorAm. In Europe, the new cold air blob continues it's relentless march as the Atlantic plumes run out of steam.

NOAA global temp plots

With the Pacific cold phase firmly entrenched, we have the 1 to 5 year physics forecast as cold for the world. It is fortunate that the temperatures look flat. Looking at past cold cycles, I continue to expect that it will be dropping more.

Disorganized clippers hit North America. A cold blob heads for Europe.

Pacific plumes hitting straight north usually give clippers, which are layered cold/hot streams from the NW. Now, we just have 'clipper swirled ice cream' Europe may be at the end of their happiness as a blob is forming, but it has to fight the Atlantic plumes.

Just got the Christmas decors out with last year's dog hair all over it.

Europe is warm

There are no cold air blobs coming directly down on Europe. They are coming down the Atlantic, and colliding with warm plumes from the Gulf area. This looks to be a stable pattern for a month, as the Pacific plumes are just dumping on North America. The Pacific plumes generally scoop out the Arctic air like ice cream.
