**Ottawa ice used as climate defence**

Everybody in Canada loves the mild winter. The physics is that extreme cold spilling out of the Arctic has created and pushed down Pacific storms, giving us that nice, dry Pacific air. In Huntsville, there are no snowmobiles on the ice.

*That view was echoed by Canada’s environment minister, Steven Guilbeault, who said Tuesday, “This is yet another example of how our climate is changing in Canada.”*

**Erratic weather** Extreme cold coming down for 1 day at Toronto. Then the Pacific air pushes it out.

**NOAA World temp plot** Remember that all the predictions of doom came from putting a straight line on that first rise. Each one of those other peaks came from some action in the Pacific. I don't see anything there now, so the temperatures will continue to go down.

**PGV from Turkey** My contention with convention is that PGV has all the importance with respect to damage. You can see incredible PGV at quite a distance. The only way you can survive this is a stiff building with deep helical piles. Convention would state the use of flexible structures.

**Weather Balloons** Lots sent every day, but they burst after 2 hours, and the radio package drifts down. Some people think they can sneak in their stuff, in the crowd.

Weather balloons showed long ago that all significant heat energy is transferred from the surface to the stratosphere by convection, but nasa said differently and everybody just shut the heck up.

**Pacific Storm Factory** It's still at full blast, but the storms are not hitting callie. That change in the Gulf Stream is affecting the whole N. Hemi.

**Pacific Cold Phase** The influencers without physics, have the cold ending 'any day now'. You can see their forecast zooming up. NZ and Australia can put away their sandbags. Good times are back again! Tourists will come!
That's their hypothesis, and they'll never call it that. To cast a hypothesis means you can live with failure, and these people can't. My hypothesis has the cold phase going on for at least 20 years. When will they throw in the towel? Maybe never.

**Turkey looks stable** Minor aftershocks. They are clearing the rubble, and will rebuild. I hope they invest in real concrete and deep helical piles. You can only build in the flats, and that amplified 10 to 100 times. You need piles and very stiff buildings.

**North America mild** The Pacific storms continue to hit Vancouver and spill dry, warm air over the mountains. Without the Arctic spill they would have their normal pattern of hitting the Yukon and dragging down cold air, as a clipper.

**Gulf Stream unstable** It's like my dog's tail. Wagging down, now it is up.

The joy of a wind channel. This year, the Arctic air has decided to go through several wind channels, which open and close randomly. The big rains in Callie has a huge flow by Alaska. This is a smaller flow and may only soak north of callie.

Toronto is mild, from the tears of Vancouver. Those storms are hammering the west coast, and we get the dry warmth.

Finally back at home where I can type. New Zealand storm. This is the same type of prong as their last big rain, but it is curled. They should listen to the influencers that all this will be over soon -- ha ha.

**M6 coming for Turkey** This is what I was looking for. The geology has forced it up a bit. We need at least an M6 or 7 to close it up for another 300 years.

**Arctic ice volume** The daily weather is swirling in chaos, but things like ice volume are a natural integration of world temperature. I see a continuous recent rise in ice volume. Others might argue the reverse.
