**Don't buy that whiskey!** It's all the rage in California. We got some for our Callie kids when they came home. A few steps down from Musk, but it's straight from the still. Burns like a sun of a glitch all the way down, and then explodes.

**Water runs out for Arizona** I remember 30 years ago in university that they predicted this -- too many people and no water. However, everybody is falling over themselves saying 'there is no signature of climate change' whatever that means.

**Thrust at termination of rift** This indicates a very messing ending of the rifting for the large quake. Thrusts give the highest pgv pulses with the most damage. This is a classic '10 years of terror' scenario. I was expecting a large cross-fault like the upper fault to dissipate the end stresses.

** Due to the Pacific air rolling over NA, everybody is saying what a mild winter we've had in Toronto. However, that air usually attacks the Arctic air mass, and it hasn't. The Arctic air is going back to 60 below, and so we'll have a very long winter.

**Classic Pacific Pinwheel** This pattern of the Pacific plumes always brings up warm air from the Gulf. This clashes with all the cold air and makes for a good snow storm in Toronto.

**State of the Oceans**

A small chance that the Pacific cold phase is slowing down, but it still will be cold until the end of the year. I hope it switches for my Tahiti trip.

**M6.4 collapses more buildings** This was an absolute certainty that there would be an earthquake here. Accelerometers are the best to tell how close a building is to collapse.

**New earthquake where I thought there was a stress imbalance** This is thrust in a rift, so I am flabbergasted. If it extends left and right, then it is what I predicted.

**Tahiti** Anybody know anything about travel there? Looking for a catamaran and hotels in September. Many thanks. First big trip after Covid.... Yeah!

**Large mass of cold air still active** It seems to be warming from 60 to 50 below. The area above Iceland is closing in with cold.

**UVC and Covid** I'm surprised that the medical power group is still going for hepa filters when this is the way to go. I think their filter views are an extension of masks, which are generally useless.

I've the UVC/titania filters in the house. They give a fresh outdoor feeling and may be the answer to indoor air problems, especially that 'dead air' feeling.

**Ozone hole likes the cold** At 60 below, you better slap on extra sunscreen, if you are going sun bathing. There is also the temperature effect over Antarctica in their winter. I'm not saying it isn't chlorine, but that doesn't jibe in my solitary physics world...

And now I'm thinking of sailing on the lake in the summer. The wind is horrible because of the surrounding highlands, so I'm always looking for tiny ripple patterns. They indicate a huge convection vortex is about to hit me, and I prepare. Without measuring the huge energy of the vortex, I could think the ripples are going to hit me, or that the ripples bring the wind.

ps. I've never realized that when you eliminate physics, then 'cause and effect' are fluid concepts. In my alternate dimension of physics, entropy dictates that energy must flow from cause to effect, and that 'cause' is much higher energy. But in debate, nobody calculates energy.

**Separation of Influences** Cause and effect can be reversed in our influencer land. In physics land, the stratosphere is influenced by surface temperatures through massive clear-air convection cells, which haven't been measured since the 70's.
I'm not doing 'physics and weather' hashtags any more. I have no effect.
However, the Jet Stream is totally an effect of warm and cold air masses colliding. That's where the energy comes from. However, influencers will state that the JS can influence surface weather, effectively moving air masses, when, in fact, it is being moved by the air masses. The physics for this is only available in physics-land and wiki-thing.
I only object to this thinking because Old Occam says the tail cannot wag the dog. But in our modern world, the tails are all over the place, because that is interesting. Physics is not.... And the weather guys have to make things interesting, or they are off the air.

**Wonderful 'old stock'** Very nice people, all of the same origin....

**Hackers there forever** This is what I expect for 90% of companies, and especially hospitals. I know their security. I would think that a smart hacker would use the mosquito approach, rather than the big blast. When those zero-exploits hit MS, a million people use it before the patch.

**More headlines**
Remember that all I say is in the hard world of physics, which is another parallel dimension to the doomers.
Climate -- getting colder
Ice Sheets - fine
Sea Level - steady
