@freemo Text to image? *shrug* !=
@freemo Just something I noticed, typing out emojis like  or  do not automatically translate on here, unless I tab into it and select the emoji. Expected?
@freemo Do people show any reaction at all? I think this would be a very good way to gauge if people are good listeners at all.....
Please, for the love of all things you hold dear, do NOT try this with your wife/husband/partner!
@djghettoredneck Somehow I find it irrational to react when a company shuts down their product. Especially when it's a company like Google, that has a long history of shutting down popular apps. Google Reader, Google Wave, anyone?
So, the only proper reaction to closure/shutdown is to shut up and move on. If you can't find an alternative, tough luck. Move on, again Life is too short to lose sleep over something that was only a *tool* to feed your daily life. Your life should be bigger than that.
@IntegralDuChemin I use both emacs and vim to varying degrees. I have found emacs to be very useful when I have to enter Unicode text in my native tongue. While I haven't invested *any* effort into learning one of the bazillion input tools out there (I'm looking at you, SCIM) - meh, I can live with what emacs offers out of the box. *shrug*
That said, I like both emacs and vim
@RolandDeschaine @MominRasool Actually, every *Asian* parent
@freemo @absolutus Nice! You also mentioned that you have some features that won't be found on other mastodon instances. Do you have a list anywhere? :-)
@freemo @absolutus Hi! Just signed up on this instance and thought I'd point out something odd on the 'welcome' notice -- one of the things there mentioned Syncleus being the admin of this instance. Guess that's one of you?
