From Mastodon at least, it's better to search for the username with the web UI and subscribe to whoever with just one click. Getting out of your own instance to subscribe to another user's feed is _not_ the way.
I mean, that's the whole point of Federation. Just like you can follow Mastodon, Pleroma, Akkoma, Misskey, PeerTube, Pixelfed, FunkWhale, etc., users from your own Home TL, you can also search for and subscribe to them without leaving your instance.
@climagic Weren't egrep and fgrep deprecated in 2007 and definitely removed a few months ago? Probably better to use `grep -E` these days.
@podcastlinux Prefiero @AntennaPod. En primer lugar porque es una aplicación estupenda y además porque tienen cuenta aquí.
@bonifartius Same here. Also true if you change Popper by Heidegger.
@trinsec Neither did I, to be honest. But the Kulechov Effect is a thing for a reason:

To me, it was always just a stock photo with no real meaning attached to it. The meme was what gave his face a meaning.
@sampo I honestly can't imagine you (or any other Finn) on cocaine. I've watched too many Aki Kaurismäki's films.
@sampo Or maybe you've already gained immunity to caffeine and now you have to resort to cocaine or something.
IMPORTANT CORRECTION: It was just _one_ fucking idiot. I misinterpreted what @joran had said. I'm really sorry about that.
@vestal To be honest, the pic seems oddly related now that I look at it.
@ink8@the9thcircle.club Si así fuera, tendría gracia.
@davoloid There's a way to stop it. In Preferences > Appearance, check Slow Mode. That will “hide timeline updates behind a click instead of automatically scrolling the feed”.
I don't use it often, though, because I seldom use the Federated TL and because it turns it on for all timelines, which is not what I want.
I am, without a doubt, the most interesting person I know.
