@freeschool I agree that it isn't too far off (same with Zipper and Elevator) but I think in this case it isn't fair. A non-Hoover vaccum does the job of a Hoover, but a non-Google search engine isn't going to give the same results, so I think one should be specific about which search they want.

What wins when you're talking about the title of another person's work: the styleguide you're following or the author's choice of title case rules

Definitely just saw a written comment where someone used "Google" to mean search but then specified a different site to search on.

Humans vs AI couldn't be more timely. I don't know why the reveiers didn't like this one but my brother, wife, and I sure did.

@airsick Aha yes! They have no respect for those of us that keep the world turning!

@sabbatical My mom grew up as a teetotaler so that would explain my lack of knowledge on the subject

I get the sterotype of nerds wearing glasses is somewhat essential to a visual representation, but some of the other design choices done by the different emoji "typefaces" seem like they intend to promote negative stereotypes. Childish faces, funny teeth, etc.

@sabbatical I've never thought of the taste like that of spiciness but that seems to be a great comparison!

@freeschool since posting that I've ended up on the original proposal for the "nerd" emoji and I'll have to revise my original comments

@ZachWeinersmith As a practicing member of the Christian faith, I agree with you. If basic Christian doctrine is anti-semetic, then that's a terrifying standard (and maybe waters down how bad actual anti-semites have been)

Planed obselecense is a thing, sure, but my daily driver keyboard is 20 years old and, aside from missing two function keys, is working just fine

If you're a fan of space and science and history, today's a good day to watch "Hidden Figures".

The movie can get a bit preachy at times, but quite frankly, after what those women went though, they deserve to preach a bit.

@sabbatical To be fair, I have not done many double-blind drink comparisons to see if I preferred the alcoholic version
