Every workplace I've been to has had nosey people. Work life is never private. Especially when part of your job is to know what other people are doing before they decide to eventually tell you.

<< breaks a thing
<< waits a few days
<< decides to report it to only person who can fix it.
>> already took care of it day 0, reporter gets slapped with negligence by essentially couch surfing

I can't have Fedi open while onsite at work- it wont matter what's on-screen. Not even going to try and privately scroll in the bathroom. Don't need to open that can of worms and rabbit-hole to my coworkers.

"NBC 5 has also learned the arrested individuals include paramedics, firefighters, a teacher and a nurse and that some of the victims targeted young children, including infants."

Tonight's dinner::

Spaghetti with shredded cheese and basil. With a side of fruit punch.

I tried using aidungeon.io/ but it's too buggy to allow smooth playthrough. Hopefully it will get better soon!

""I recently read Assault on the Open Internet, in which the author advised all Mastodon server owners to block Facebook's (Meta's) Barcelona (now Threads) servers that will be compatible with ActivityPub, the protocol that Mastodon uses. As the reason for this, he reminded readers that Google and Facebook "killed" XMPP, Google "killed" RSS via Google Reader, and Apple has begun "killing" the open Internet using Apple apps. By "killing", the author meant taking away so many users as to render the remaining network essentially irrelevant.

Google and Facebook killed the XMPP and RSS open communications protocols using Microsoft's strategy of embrace, extend, extinguish. After adopting the XMPP protocol and gathering almost all of its users onto their platforms, they refused to accept XMPP messages from other XMPP servers. Then, they switched to other protocols. They claimed they did this for various reasons. The truth is that corporations do not want to join open networks; they want to own them""
