@davidbrayn I use a web browser on my workstation. Most GUI clients that I've used were underwhelming and bloated. Some electron based and one GTK. The latter was light enough, but I didn't like the layout of it. The web interface is the best so far in my opinion.

@omgubuntu It's probably me in a minority, but I couldn't keep up with all the Gnome "enhancements" to the UI. I'd get used to one way then they'd change it up, sometimes not for the betterment in my opinion. So, anyone like me would have to run a bunch of extensions to improve the UI back to the way some of us liked. I eventually got weary of this and now am using Cinnamon on my desktop workstation and AntiX on my memory strained laptop. No more Gnome for me and I've been using some version of it since the late 90s. KDE before that. The excuse that memory and storage is cheap has allowed developers to create these huge monolithic OSes with huge bloat. Just rubs me the wrong way - Guess I'm getting cranky in my old age. LOL

@paulasadoorian Suspected so, but one never knows without asking.

@C_Carter_CMAS Cool! Most seem to be working too. :-)

So, my recommend for this is the account of @blaine , apparently he was one of the core engineers, and has some interesting prespective(s) to share about social media in general.
Cheers.

In Bash `$(<file)` is equivalent to `$(cat file)`, but faster:

P=( $(</etc/passwd) )
echo ${P[0]}

#Bash #Linux #Cat

@msprout I don't think that would ever work, you'd end up with a and no would be able to support it if you run into problems. I'd do a clean install if you can take the server offline for several minutes.

A tip for anyone trying to convert from MS Word format to using . To get source code blocks to convert to verbatim environments in latex, create a style called "Source Code" and apply this to your source code in Word. Make sure to use (manual) line breaks rather than paragraph breaks within the code block.
