Most modern desktop and laptop comes with Windows 8 or 10 keys embedded in BIOS. Thinkpad, Dell, and many other BIOS vendors expose these keys to Linux, too, along with tons of data. So one can find and retrieve Windows 10/11 or Windows 8 key using Linux. The key helps to activate the Windows version without any input from users. Here is how to find find Windows 10/11 OEM product key using Linux CLI

How do we know if we can trust our senses?
Very pleased to start the year w/ news that the 1st paper from @OlawoleHelen’s PhD - on precision, predictions & awareness - has just been accepted at JEP:G!🥂
Congratulations Helen!
@drupler What problem were you facing relating to qoto.org ?
40 years ago today (1’st January 1983) was transition day for the #ARPANET. So started TCP/IP and UDP for that matter, as its full time networking protocol. The Internet was born. Here’s my transition workbook from 1982 which I still have in my possession. I wrote a lot of code based on that book. (FYI: picture is from ten years ago - I had less gray/grey hair)
Our ancestors once stalked prey for days across open plains through blistering sun and moonless night. The beast, growing weary, would eventually succumb to the elements and its own sense of hopelessness.
I channel this memory as I summon patience after fifteen minutes in gentle pursuit of my feline housemate to deliver medicine, a war of wills nature never intended nor foresaw.

Failing to complete a relatively simple algorithm before calling it a day is a terribly demoralizing experience.
Do I refocus on the syntax, the flow, or the underlying structure?
How far am I willing to deviate from what I have to make someone else's ready-made not-quite-what-I-want solution fit?
Do I hammer it until I've got it down forward and backward, or do I wing it, ignore edge cases, and make room for the next algorithm so as not to lose sight of the big picture?
Goofus' Guide to Building a Method, step one:
Pass every parameter you could ever possibly need in case a couple of them prove useful later on.
Thought Leaders: "Programming will be obsolete within 5 years. All business software will be generated by AIs"
Actual Businesses: "actually we're mainly still on-premise, running on Windows Server 2003 and VBScript ASP, but our two-year plan to migrate everything into a cloud kicked off in 2015 and we're making steady progress."
Explanation of Continuous Integration(CI) and Continuous Delivery(CD) via a diagram.
CI is to help #developer test their code and get quick feedback, and CD ensures that code doesn't break the production server.

Very Happy New Year to @trinsec @freemo @Inyan@masto.ai @stux @JonathanMBR @meeper @tombies@masto.ai @kranfahrer @LoStz @Aranya
@freemo any plans to provide Jitsi services with qoto in the future?
An irregular reminder that calling this place "Mastodon" has a bit similar energy as saying "I just sent you a GMail."
"Fediverse" (or "fedi") is a better term.
Mastodon is just one of many software projects that talk to each other to create this multi-instance social network:

(kudos to @axbom for this fantastic infographic!)
There are blogs, Reddit-like communities, video instances and many more, all part of fedi.
