@lextenebris Interesting. I had the impression that T2K focused almost entirely on combat operations.
I would rather have Joe Biden drooling on the Resolute Desk while the intelligent and eminently competent team he has assembled runs the country than have Trump smearing catsup on the Oval Office walls while the team of actual Nazis and sycophantic idiots he has assembled dismantles our democracy and civil rights.
Quintin Smith's review of the Wildsea is intriguing:

What's the best #ttrpg for a #solarpunk campaign?
@robbie Will a simple two-dimensional table, with a row for each ingredient, work?
If not, maybe JSON?
@mtechman When I was in grad school, one of the members of our game group was a mathematician. We got to discussing squares vs hexagons for game maps. He suggested octagons, so you'd have even more directions to move.
"But octagons don't tile the plane," we said.
"Oh," he explained, "you have to use hyperbolic space."
This story dances around the more common use of the term.

@LouisIngenthron Did you watch to the end? At around the 70% mark they tipped over their podiums and ineffectively tried to kick each other in the nuts for the better part of a minute before being separated by the Secret Service.
@imabuddha@techhub.social Indeed. Fortunately, I did better on the remaining problems in the section.
I've had similar frustrations with art books for "the absolute beginner".
I'm sure some of my computer science students are baffled by what I think are clear, straightforward explanations of concepts. (Indeed, student evaluations from any class will have some complaining that I moved way too fast and others wondering why I wasted so much time on the obvious.)
The interesting topic is fire dancing. When I show initial moves to new students, they can't understand how I move so fast. By the time they graduate, they're better than me. In my defense, I'm old.
@lindsey ... and just think how many times a day you enter a SECRET PASSWORD into a computer!
@malin Looking forward to our first round of STV (with multi-member districts!) in Portland, OR this November.
Getting rid of the Electoral College would help, too. We're 3/4 of the way there!
