@scalzi They told us not to judge books by their covers. Now we gotta judge 'em by their spines?
LOOK, A MONKEY!

It drives me up the wall when people argue “Europe was built before cars" as a reason Europeans can support biking better than the US. On its face it doesn't make sense—we have *much* wider roads to reclaim for better uses, for instance. More, it’s ahistorical—many European cities were taken over by cars before they reclaimed space. This post has some nice before and after examples. #BikeTooter #Urbanism https://discerningcyclist.com/city-transformations-before-after/
@geekysteven It's what Londo Mollari would do.
(Coincidentally, this is my second Centauri genitalia joke in a couple of days.)

Two scenes later, Londo is caught.

I refuse to bow to the nihilism. I will not accept doom as an inevitability that cannot be averted. I see no point in it. I understand that some people are just out of energy and out of ability to hope or to help. That makes me feel that it’s even more important that while I have hope I hold onto it and express it so that others who still do know that they aren’t alone and we can get together and do what we can to keep the lights on and the darkness at bay.

Doing the counting problems in chapter 2 of Ogawa & Davies's "The Endgame". I'm getting correct or close to it on most of them, but the thought of doing this under the time pressure of a game, remembering (without pencil and paper) the results of several local searches so I don't have to re-read them every turn, and still having the mental capacity to explore the main tree of play? *shudder*
