@lmedinar try Gamemaker or Godot. The former in particular is really easy, but expensive
@lupyuen I'm not sure if that's the reason
@a7 excellent! I'll look for it
@lordalveric you're the one who's claiming no police = more crime. The tweet you're presenting doesn't link to any study.
Present YOUR studies.
@lordalveric studies have shown crime didn't go down when they increased the police.
In other words, defunding the police is good.
Is Making Advanced GUI Applications with Godot the Future?
@lupyuen Incredible
@2ck Once the robots take over Neil DeGrasse Tyson won't be laughing 😅
@Lwasserman "Shaum's Outline of Statistics"?
@alex I think getting rid of encryption/privacy is a bipartisan effort
@globcoco I don't have elementary either. I was able to install Minder though after several tries.
Usually it's best to stick to one distro unless you're running into massive technical problems all the time. Usually it's with the package manager.
@globcoco Are you using a version of Ubuntu older than 18.10? Check if the ppa:alexlarsson/flatpak is already in your software list. You can do this by going into the Ubuntu Software Center and then going into preferences and then going into "Software Sources." I think. I haven't used Ubuntu in over a year now. If not add it using the add-apt-repository command
Alternatively, you could also try directly searching for Minder in the Ubuntu Software Center and seeing if a Flatpak installation is already there. I've tried this with other software and it has worked.
Also, I think we should take this to DMs since it's technical help and would show up publicly in this Mastodon instance lol
@globcoco Onto the Flatpak page?
@globcoco Hi.
What Linux distro are you using?
@globcoco Yeah installing it the normal way is hard.
Because of this I wasn't able to install Minder either at first. But then I found out it has a Flatpak package, which made everything much easier.
There are still some hoops you have to jump, so if you need help just let me know!
