Honest question: Is there anyone here fluent in both #rstats and #python who prefers R?
I know Python well and am still learning R. It feels kludgy, extremely context-sensitive, and more like an accreted bag of tricks than a designed programming language.
Maybe this is just my fear of change / computer scientist bias or issues with the particular book I'm reading. A part of me feels that students minoring (and someday majoring) in #DataScience should know R because it's widely used, but another part worries that teaching them this inferior tool is doing them a disservice.
Is there an R champion in the house?

Soffro di depressione, e ho deciso che proverò a parlarne qui, dove mi sento relativamente al sicuro perché nessuno sa chi sono e non rischio di affondare in commenti di merda come in altri social. Lo farò un po' alla volta, perché è molto doloroso, ma credo sia utile perché quando stai davvero male l'unica cosa che può aiutarti è sapere che c'è qualcuno che ti capisce.

So, i checked just the first few results of a web search.

From these websites it appears that meat is quite more expensive than vegetables.
Chicken (an inexpensive meat) costs around 4 times as much as tomatoes (an expensive vegetable).
Fish is more expensive than chicken but less than other meat.
Of course this is aggregate data, so you can probably find some cheaper meat if you're looking for that.
Anyways, it looks to me that eating meat in Norway is even more expensive than in Italy compared to vegetables. In Italy you can get chicken that costs the same as tomatoes.
Prices are higher overall, but the price disparity between a vegetarian diet and a meat filled one appears to be the same if not even higher.
Definitely there might be some particular places in which fish is cheaper than vegetables, or maybe even meat for some strange reason; but this doesn't appear to be the norm.
