What problem does the Fediverse solve for the average person? Privacy? Censorship? The average person is not concerned about privacy and is untouched by censorship.
The good reasons I think to push for the fediverse are:
A. Twitter effectively pushes a certain social agenda and normalizes certain behaviors. I don't think I need to elaborate more on that.
B. Governments are HIGHLY incentived to migrate off Twitter. Think about it - the President communicates over a network the government does not control.
C. Creating walled-off communities.
I suspect Twitter usage will reduce after Trump leaves the presidency - and that could be an opening for the Fediverse.

@Guild I never followed the Stone case all that closely, but I heard he was one of the witnesses who had been duped by the FBI because he wasn't told that what he was saying was "on the record" and if he lied, he was committing perjury or something.
Even so, the man is guilty, and you can't retry an old case IIRC. I don't see the need for the case to be shortened.
The prosecutors resigning is quite curious, however. 🤔

@matt @ItsJenNotGabby I don't own a car. I'm on the verge of getting one from my parents, but I'm not sure I want one, considering the operating costs and maintance necessary. I would much rather prefer a bike.
(I must admit, tho, the freedom to be able to go wherever I want, provided I have the gas for it, is pretty enticing.)

I just asked a liberal what she meant by "health care is a right". I said i didnt see that in the constitution.She said "its a human right". I think I need to inform my insurance company I no longer need to pay them. Health care is a human right and their responsibility is to cover me for free 🤔 😂
@NAZl It's still a monopoly; monopolies don't need to have complete control of an industry, just a majority of it. I would say #Twitter's userbase utterly dwarfs the #Fediverse's
