This is where that activity comes from: it's all bots.

Here's a bot that posts the same shit every 10 seconds. This goes on for pages, then stops for a few hours, then it's a different link the thing spams.

Gab Trends is people-powered news.

I don't even think I'll need to do anything sophisticated to auto-remove Gab bots.

TWKN had a post from @gab, which apparently posts links to Gab Trends. Apparently that account spits out stuff from Gab Trends. There's a good opportunity to see if Gab Trends is bot-powered news. So I looked at the link behind Gab's unholy hybrid of the Drudge Report and Zergnet, and it pointed to a Breitbart article. Then I tried to search Gab for it.

:gayfrog2: ...Except search is completely broken on Gab. No results.

However, (tag bug aside) search does work here! Searched for the Breitbart article and found five posts that federated here. All of them are appear to be from news bots, except one.

@Anubiss @realcaseyrollins @realcaseyrollins I agree in part, the biggest not the best become the target of choice, yet I’ve never had a security issue with iOS or OSX and they seem to more concerned about privacy ( no backdoors like Windows) than Microsoft. No multiple daily pinging like Windows.
Bottomline is any system can be hacked - not an over the top fanboy of Mac but I do appreciate the build quality and my personal experience using Apple products.

@realcaseyrollins I think that Android has the potential to be more secure than iOS. For one, iOS is proprietary, which is inherently insecure because you can't know what it's doing. Android is open source, so you can verify the way it works.

Android's security issues aren't with Android itself, but with the phone manufacturers. Since it's open source, manufacturers can do whatever they want to it before shipping it on your phone. By contrast iOS is centralized to Apple, so Apple can put top-notch security on every iPhone. I feel that it's like comparing apples to oranges.

Windows owns 90% of the market, hackers spend theier energey where they will get the biggest bang for thier time & trouble. Yrs agoCharlie miller ex-nsa tao developer won many bug bounties for windows. The whitched over to hack MAC to proove wrong the thought that MAC was more secure. @realcaseyrollins secure against what ? For what purpose ? They are both ownable via SS7 attacks...the entire cell network is. so its really a moot issue until SS7 goes away forever.
